It is truly a vibe whether you are dining solo, coupled, family or group. This is Black Excellence!!!
Although it is a rotating restaurant, it is very subtle. The restaurant – located in the Hyatt Regency- offers a slow, 360-degree rotation, providing different views of the Atlanta skyline throughout the meal.
• Reservations: Reservations are highly recommended and can be made through their website or platforms like OpenTable.
• Atmosphere: Described as romantic, upscale, and suitable for special occasions or business dining.
• Hours: Generally open for dinner, featuring a full bar with signature cocktails.
It is recommended to check their website for the most up-to-date hours and menu before visiting.
We had a preset menu and the fare was delicious. They specialize in small and shareable plates. A mixologist was even brought in to customize cocktails for guests in our party. Kudos to the restaurant manager and staff for helping create happy customers with wonderful memories memories. I look forward to returning again. ✨✨
For the main course, my daughter ordered the sea scallops, which were perfectly prepared, and we also shared the Wagyu Oscar steak. The steak was outstanding—very flavorful and cooked to perfection. The mixed drinks were also top-tier and complemented the meal well.
The service was impeccable. Antoinette was our server, and she was fantastic—very attentive, professional, and friendly throughout the evening. The location is great, the décor is beautiful, and the overall atmosphere adds to the experience. Valet parking is available; just make sure to get your ticket stamped.
There is no military discount, unfortunately, but overall, this was a really great visit. I would definitely return and highly recommend Polaris for a special dining experience.
Antoinette was outstanding — warm, attentive, and spot-on with her recommendations based on our preferences. Every course was excellent, and you’ll definitely want to save room for dessert!
We were treated to a spectacular sunset as the room slowly turned, giving us a panoramic view of the city while we enjoyed our meal. A truly memorable experience from start to finish. Highly recommended.
The food was outstanding and the cocktails were fantastic. The sea bass might be the best thing on their menu—among the best fish I’ve ever had. The Polaris steak Oscar was incredible.
Definitely recommend timing dinner with sunset for peak views. Hyatt Regency Atlanta is a cool hotel, and if you can, use Uber to skip valet parking. Polaris has a unique entrance via a separate elevator in the center of the lobby—really a standout experience.
Worth every dollar. We will definitely be back soon.
We began our evening with the cheese charcuterie board and focaccia bread. It was a standout starter, the combination of honeycomb and jam was divine. A lovely surprise was spotting the bee hive structure just across from our table, knowing the honey came from there made it even more special.
We tried two mocktails the Sober Mo, which was tangy with a sweet agave twist. The Blue Orbit, had a more sweeter yet sparkling taste.
As the restaurant slowly revolved, we were treated to a panoramic journey across Atlanta. We watched the chefs hard at work in the kitchen and saw the city transition from day to night. It was truly magical watching the sunset give way to sparkling city lights. From our seat, we spotted I-85, Midtown, Downtown, Stone Mountain, Kennesaw Mountain, and the Blue Ridge Mountains. Even Georgia Tech’s campus came into view, it felt like we were seeing all of Atlanta in one sitting.
For dinner, we ordered the risotto and sea bass, as we follow a halal diet and typically go pescatarian when dining out. The risotto was a highlight; warm, rich, and deeply flavorful. The sea bass was perfectly cooked, though the rice beneath it lacked a bit of seasoning and had cooled down by the time it arrived. Still, the dish was satisfying overall.
Our server was incredibly kind and attentive, she took lots of photos for us and made us feel truly celebrated. For my birthday, we ordered Blue dome cake, our server complimentary, a thoughtful gesture that added a sweet and memorable touch to the evening.
Polaris is more than just a restaurant, it’s an experience. I highly recommend going during the evening to catch the sunset and enjoy the city’s lights coming alive.
The lamb ribs and peach dessert are a must try.
