Found out about pokemoto a few weeks ago and now it’s my go to spot! The food is amazing and the service is great. We had ordered ahead for pickup this week for the first time and there was an issue with their system so they didn’t receive our order. The staff made sure they made our order ASAP and handled the situation perfectly. Great customer service and great food!

My bowl was very delicious…except for the fish, unfortunately. I ordered the Hawaiian which comes with tuna.
The flavor of the fish was a bit off, I suspect it was probably improperly frozen or past its prime. A bit disappointing for close to $20 for a serving. I hope next time I return it will be fresher.

I’d like to note- I’ve been to other Pokemoto locations, my usual is in Franklin, MA but I’m in RI for school.
Food here is mostly fine besides the fact that they were out of a lot of ingredients, including tea for the boba.
Staff felt a bit like they didn’t know what they were doing and/or were mildly annoyed that I was there. I was the only one in the store. They nearly put chili garlic oil instead of miso sauce on my bowl, which is much spicier than I wanted. They were out of miso, but I should have been told that before they almost decided a replacement for me, I’m glad I caught it and stopped them and told them to switch to sesame ginger. I’m under the impression that the girl making my bowl must have been very new, but if she was having that much trouble with knowing which ingredients were which or what goes in what bowl then she should have more help from more experienced staff.
I’ve been a food service worker myself, I get it that it’s hard to remember, but the sauces are literally labeled and the recipe is up on the board in the back .

Pokemoto in South County Commons is hands-down one of the BEST poke spots I’ve ever been to! The staff is always super friendly and welcoming, which makes every visit such a fun experience. I love that they’re open until 8:00 every night—some of the other poke places around aren’t open that late, which is pretty upsetting when you’re craving it for dinner. And to top it all off, they even offer student discounts for URI students. It’s one of my go-to spots.

So gross. I ordered the sesame ginger bowl but they were out of sesame ginger sauce. She packed so much hot rice into a bowl then proceeded to scoop cold chicken chunks into a mixing bowl. She added raw onion and a bit of shredded carrots then squirted a creamy miso sauce and mixed it all together. They were out of cashews so there goes another topping but then it says it comes with avocado but it’s a scoop of guacamole. All cold toppings on top of hot rice. So disgusting!
