This restaurant has been my go to spot for the last 2 years that I’ve been living in Long Beach.
I always find my way to Poke Pola for lunch or dinner wether I walk, bike, or drive. They are located off 2nd street which is a great place to be. 2nd street has tons of restaurants, bars, shopping, desserts, and so much more all around. There is tons of meter street parking but it’s always full (Good Luck) they also have meter parking in the back.
Poke Pola offers a great selection of everything. You walk up to place your order and choose your size, base, protein, greens, spice factor, and toppings. Everything is to your liking so if you would like less or more sauce, you can just let them know and they will do just that. Everything is always fresh, every time i go in I say “it smells fishy” in a good way lol
The portions are just right, most people I take say “wow, this is a lot” but I’m like “give me more please” lol
They have indoor and outdoor seating, so feel free to bring the pups and enjoy the outdoor seating.
The service is always great, the owners are always present and from the outside looking in, they always seem to be doing anything and everything they ask their employees to do. The staff usually seem to be a younger group and they are always very friendly and welcoming. They are very knowledgeable on the menu and always helpful with suggestions if needed. Everyone seems to work very well together which is one of the main reasons I love coming back. A great team and environment brings in returning customers.
I’m a raving fan of Poke Pola and I can’t wait to hear how much you love it as well.

Hands down the freshest fish in Poke Bowl I’ve had. The veggies were crisp and the avocado was just the right texture. The “add heat” options were accurate (so often not the case!). If I could make one suggestion, it would be that they offer Purple Rice as an option – no deduction in stars for not having it, just would be sublime!

I walked in and I was politely ordering my food but one of the workers was very rude I ordered two bowls and one of them was written on the top “less rice” when I didn’t ask for that. I asked why they did that and they stared at me with a blank expression?? What kind of place does that. I really don’t recommend coming here if you want terrible service and for them to slam food at you.

Delicious poke and tastes really fresh! Probably my fav poke spot in Long Beach. I love sitting outside and enjoying the view of Second Street. Service is great and quick. I usually get regular with half rice and half salad with the salmon and the octopus. The portions are also generous. My favorite sauce is the Nirvana and house sauce together.

We visited Poke Pola for lunch. They give a good amount of food. I liked it but the sauce or rice was a bit salty for me. Either way, if you haven’t tried it, I would suggest trying it. My taste buds may be different than yours. A bit expensive but it is second street.
