Social Profile:

We’re a small, family-owned restaurant that’s been serving San Diego for over 10 years. All of our poke sauces are made in house by my mom, using recipes inspired by Hawaiian flavors we grew up with. We specialize in authentic Hawaiian cuisine and love sharing fresh, flavorful poke bowls and island inspired dishes with our community.

Simple strip-mall restaurant turning out Hawaiian poke bowls, plus grilled meats & rice plates.

They serve more than just poke here, including Hawaiian breakfast and lunch plates. Most items seemed affordable but the menu should be updated to reflect price changes, as some items ordered were charged higher than what was listed.

For poke, if you choose salmon or tako, it’s an additional upcharge. I ordered a plate that came with a small side of poke, and the upcharge was $5 and some change for salmon. Upcharge is fine but for the amount given, it was not worth it at all.

Nothing exceptional with the poke flavors. It’s good but not worth the trip down to National City for when there’s other, better poke shops in San Diego.

This place slaps, poké the way it’s meant to be. You may get overwhelmed at first as there is a grand selection of options but the staff is so warm and welcoming that you’ll feel comfortable and confident in no time.

The aesthetics make you feel like you’re in Hawaii and you take a step away from your normal life to a slight glimpse of your vacation to that north shore.

My girlfriend and I each tried different tuna/ salmon selections and I have to say the fish was fresh and the preparation spot on. My only grievance is I wish they gave you more seaweed salad. Regardless the bang for the buck is there and I’m looking forward to pit-stopping by here once again.

Came here when it was pitch black so I’m not sure what the vibe of the neighborhood when it’s light out but it’s definitely a little sketch at night. The outside of this place is very unassuming. Got a 2 poke plate with a side of rice and seaweed. Would definietly not recommend the seaweed because it was such a small portion. I would’ve opted for a second scoop of rice if this weren’t my second dinner for the night. The poke was very high quality and authentic and for the price I thought it was really fair. Much cheaper than the prices in the Bay Area. I see people in the other reviews complaining about the prices here but where else can you find poke for cheaper? There was an upcharge for the salmon and not the tuna which I thought was interesting. Usually it’s the other way around.

Food was ok, plenty of choices, ranging from Hawaiian poke to Filipino. Portion sizes could be better (especially the poke compared to other poke places 8th&B and HFS). Lots of “additional charges” not listed on their menu screens. For example, extra charge for salmon or tako (octopus) poke. Your “make your own 2 scoop poke plate” for $15.99 will end up costing close to $20 and be lesser portion than 8th&B less than 2 blocks down! For poke, I’ll stick to 8th&B and HFS and for Filipino, I’ll stick to Tita’s. Oh, and parking sucks in this plaza.

A great place to try authentic Poke, you can really tell the fish is prepared well and taste great.

For a “make your own bowl” it was about $15 to pick two proteins and I chose the Cali Hawaiian and spicy mayo salmon. Both tasted delicious.

My only one wish is that I could get some more toppings with it like you would get with other poke place. Like ginger or edamame! But I did leave feeling very satisfied

Love this spot! Amazing fresh food. I usually load up on poke but this was my first time trying their Shoyu chicken and it was SO tender. The bone came right out with my fork. Their spicy poke options are VERY spicy and delicious.

authentic poke! they come very close to hawai’i foodland’s poke (which is what the worker said they were trying to do.) i’d say they’re kind of pricey especially for frozen fish, but still good overall 🙂

Oahu grown tourist here. This place is legit. Authentic flavors and good value. Quality of fish was A+ on the day we went. My girlfriend almost ate the whole plate before I could get a picture.

I ordered 2 create your own bowl, the fish is really good but their portions aren’t satisfying. The fish portions are good you get 2 choices but the rice is like nothing. They give you a choice between double rice or rice and seaweed salad, id recommended the double rice but then you get no seaweed salad. Compared to other poke places, they don’t offer topping like the crunchy onion or sesame seeds. Overall it taste good and the scenery is really comforting, the worker seemed a bit distracted or annoyed though.
