Took friends to lunch. They suggested the place. I wasn’t very optimistic but was very surprised on how good the ramen was. I’m use to going to more traditional Japanese places.
My friends are an older couple and the staff was kind and patient with them. Something I don’t usually see from younger staff in an establishment model like this. I appreciated that.

Today I had a wonderful experience at Poke Don Manchester. Cindy understood my order, she made two amazing bowls for me and my daughter; and she has the best attitude and customer service. The Hawaiian bowl with an extra scoop of salmon was satisfying, though the tuna and salmon tasted alright but not as fresh as other Poki places in Connecticut. The rice was still hot and fresh at home, and the masago added a delightful flavor. The portion size was filling, providing a convenient dinner option.
The upbeat music added to the atmosphere, and the place was clean with good seating. However, the decor and design could use improvement, as the sushi bar was decorated differently from the seating area.

By far the best Poke place i have been to anywhere. I Loved my bowl, the ingredients were all very fresh. Clean spot and nice staff. Cant wait to go back.

The place was very clean. Really liked the concept off creating your own poke bowl or buying one off the menu. We tried shumai dumplings, miso salmon bowl and shataka salmon bowl with miso soup. Soup felt really good on a cold night and both bowls were delicious!

Tried Poke Don while traveling through, and I was happy we did. The make your own poke bowl was fantastic. All the ingredients were super fresh and they didn’t skimp on anything. I got a three protein bowl and the price was very good for the size of the bowl. The staff were super friendly. I’ll be stopping by, next time I’m traveling through.

I used to come here when they first opened and the quality of the poke was exceptional, lately you can tell the ingredients arent as fresh as they can be, the pickled radish in particular had a bad taste. i used to love it on my poke but it just tasted sharp and bad i had to spit it out. I find myself craving how their food used to taste and then disappointed when I eat from there now.

This is a takeout review. All food is eaten fresh in the vehicle. I ordered a make your own bowl and sweet sesame dough. I enjoyed the dough balls but I absolutely loved the bowl. I added things I never heard of and then enjoyed an explosion of flavor. There was nothing of at all, it just really worked well. Kudos to the young lady patiently helping me. On a scale from 0-10 I would rate this 9.1.

Honestly… I love this place. I didn’t have a issue until I found a hair in my food. Then realized NOBODY wears hair nets and everyone has various lengths of hair. Just seems like a silly oversite… Food service and hair nets go together like feet and shoes…

Fantastic new restaurant and a delicious one as well. My made to order poke bowl was beyond amazing. My daughter loved her shrimp sushi burrito. All of the ingredients are exceptionally fresh, and the service is friendly. We can’t wait to go again!
