Functional setting for poke, served on brown & white rice, mixed greens or tortilla chips.

This is a poke kiosk inside a grocery store. I really love the poke bowl I created but you’ve got to know the flavor profiles so you create the perfect bowl.
The medium size was absolutely huge with way too much rice so keep that in mind for light eaters. If I could do it again, I would get half rice half salad.
The gentleman was very patient in describing how the bowl building process worked and gave me generous portions where I asked for it. They had all the toppings and fixings you could ask for.
The pull everything on a disposable bowl, swirl it around and then put it on top of your rice/salad.
Well there wasn’t seating inside they’re a seating on Castro Street as it’s a closed off street that has a lot of little sidewalk, cafés tables and chairs.

Decent poke with fresh salmon and tuna. Maybe I chose the wrong combo but the sauces didn’t deliver the right punch. Small size was good enough for a very hungry person. Would like to try their other options.

Ordered a Mediterranean bowl with added beef slices. Overall, it was pretty good and the portion was generous. The beef was a bit salty for my taste, it would be even better with less salt.

A little poke takeout place inside Ava’s market. They have a couple of tables inside the market and a few tables outdoors on Castro Street. The food was good, with lots of choices for toppings and sauces, but there was a lot of rice while the protein serving size is quite small compared to other poke places. We ordered an extra scoop of salmon and it still did not seemed enough. The shoyu sauce tasted a bit too salty but lacked flavor. Staff were quite friendly and patient to the orders, though.

Ordered a O.G. poke bowl for lunch. The preparation was quick. Generous portion, however too much rice and not enough toppings, felt like I didn’t get the money’s worth. Flavour was good though.

Probably the best Poke I’ve had in the Bay Area, which is surprising given how it’s in a little corner of some supermarket in Mountain View.
I ordered a large (three scoops of albacore, tuna, and octopus). The fish didn’t taste frozen or at least was prepared really well. The extra ingredients were quality too. I added mostly everything (jalapenos, mangos, masago, etc.) and everything complemented each other real well, as is poke wont to do.
The house sauce was not available but I improvised with ponzu and sweet chili and the combination was sublime.
ここの食べ物は本当に美味しいです。The food here is really delicious. It’s a little bit pricey for poke but having visited sub par poke joints before I think it’s forgiveable.
I love the area too where you can casually sit and bask in the Mountain View sun, great little stop for my lunch on a Wednesday. Nice to grab a drink at the supermarket (unfortunately cannot consume the alcohol you buy here though).
Note to the owners: Please ensure that no riffraff loiter in your toilets. Some dude who just slipped from the alley out back took way to much time in there. Thanks

I got a small bowl and it was plenty for lunch, I felt very satisfied. Super fresh ingredients. The raw salmon melted in my mouth. I never had raw octopus, I tried it and the texture wasn’t my favorite. The kale noodles were really unique, they had a nice chew and flavor to them. I asked for a sweet and salty sauce and the worker mixed too sauces for me and it tasted very good. He was really nice. $20 all together with a drink. You choose your base which can be up two things, up to two proteins and as many toppings as you like. It’s a takeout counter within a grocery store and there are tables outside.

Look no further, the best poke bowl in Mountain View is this one. The cut of the fish is correct. The sauce tasted homemade. In comparison with others around here, this definitely on top.

First-time visit to this downtown Mountain View pokebar, located in a small supermarket. You order and pay on a screen in front of the bar. It may take a couple minutes to complete the transaction if you want to personalize your order, which I did want to do. My order was prepared in about 5-10 minutes, and it was delicious, and reasonably priced. A $20 large bowl was just right for two people.

Has quality gone down or just new person need more training? I ordered three bowls and all were soaked in sauce. Fish doesn’t taste as fresh as used to be. What happened?! Very disappointed.
