Got the ribs and sides tonight absolutely amazing! You can actually taste the smoke. $20 for the dinner and it’s enough for two people. Highly recommend. Can’t wait to try the other options next. Also my dog loved the bones.

We stopped in earlier today from our home in Nebraska on our way through Kansas. You could smell the wonderful smokey meat cooking from highway 81, inviting you to stop in.
We had the brisket sandwich meal and a pulled pork sandwich meal, both come served with a healthy portion of baked beans (very tasty with grilled onion and jalapeno mixed in), tater salad and coleslaw. Both meats were tender, juicy and had really great smokey flavor. The proprietor is a very friendly gentleman, who was working the pit as we drove up, then welcomed us over explaining the menu and serving us quickly.
The price is reasonable and portions were large. This will rank as some of the best BBQ we have had, and definitely will be on our stop list any time we are in the area.

When my friend visited from Denver, we decided to visit Podunk BBQ. Turns out I’ve driven past it quite a few times: 72 Lincoln St, just as you leave Concordia on your way to the Vet. How could I miss it? (Getting old…) The owner, Damien, talked with us for quite a while. What a nice guy! The place has a sign and smoker out front, and he serves from a window in a small travel trailer. He gave us each a half pulled pork & beef sandwich to taste. Trust me, it was so good. I plan on visiting often for ribs, as I’m a huge rib fan. He smokes the meat himself. He mentioned the plate meals come with beans and potato salad. I’m definitely going back to taste everything on the menu. Friends, definitely give this great little place a try! Support small businesses!
Dec 2023: I saw the trailer parked in Concordia by the Liquor Outlet, so I decided to get myself a good lunch. It’s a little pricey, but a sign of the times, right? However, the lunch was huge, as another person posted.
The potato salad was pretty good and the beans good; could have used a little more seasoning. The ribs had a good flavor, but for my little stomach, way too much smoke flavoring. So if he used less smoke flavor, it would be great for me.
What I absolutely loved was Damien’s enthusiasm and friendliness. Keep up the good work!

The owner is very down to earth, and very polite. I actually enjoyed the small conversation that we had about both of us being from Texas. I ended up getting baked beans and potato salad with bbq ribs. The food was really good and I’m glad I was able to support his business. I would gladly come here again.

Parked at Loves expecting to be stuck eating subway. This gem is right next door at the concrete plant. I ended up getting the ribs, and he plated enough for 2 people. The ribs were delicious and the sides were great as well. The gentleman that runs it is very friendly and engaging. I definitely recommend if you are in the area. I will stop again.
