Amazing south indian food.

Unlimited sambhar. We liked their ghee podi idli, paneer bhurji dhosa.

My favorite was spring roll dosa with manchurian flavour and mendu wada.

Quantity is quite a lot so be careful while ordering.

Plenty of parking nearby and lots of space inside, with a clean and traditional vibe that makes dining in comfortable.

We ordered the Chef’s Special Paneer Dosa, Chettinad Chicken Curry, Garlic Naan, and the Podi Dosa with Potato Filling the podi dosa was the highlight, absolutely superb!

Prices are around $15–$25 per person, and they also sell a nice variety of spices to take home. The menu has plenty of options, making it a great spot for dosa lovers and anyone craving authentic South Indian flavors.

We landed in Podi Dosa , Artesia last weekend on our way to Universal Studios,Hollywood from San Diego , to have a quick lunch. The onion masala dosa was amazing and since it came in slices, my 7 year old daughter was able to eat parts of it, she loved the crispy and crunchy slices. The dosas came with an assortment of chutneys and we also got extra serving of sambar.
I can say that the dosas here are just divine, wish we had this restaurant in San Diego.

We came here to dine in at 2 pm. One lady here said we can’t allow that time to dine in. I asked the reason and she said cleaning the store and that’s the owner’s order too. She said you can order only for takeout. That’s not fare we came here after a 40- 45-minute drive. The regular open hours are 11-3pm and 5pm to 10pm.

Very disappointing. After a long wait we were served food that was subpar at best. The medu Vada was a dough bomb- thick and dense and no lightness or fluffiness. The batter obviously hadn’t been fermented long enough. The Sambar was a gooey gloppy mess of sweetness and no veggies other than onions. Chutneys were average and the Masala dosa was good except the filling was cold. Filter coffee was a disaster. Just don’t go. Not worth your time or money

Visited Podi Dosa recently hoping for some solid South Indian comfort food on a Thursday night. We ordered idli, filtered coffee, poori with alu curry, and Amaravati onion dosa with masala on the side. The potato masala had an off, smelly taste, like the potatoes weren’t fresh or something had gone wrong in prep/storage – it was genuinely unpleasant and hard to eat. The alu curry for the poori was similarly disappointing carried that same weird smell. It ruined what could have been a good meal. Worse, when we mentioned the issue to the staff, there was no real apology or effort to fix it – they just kept serving the same stuff to other tables like nothing happened. That felt careless, especially in a busy place where hygiene and freshness should be top priority. Portions are huge (as always here), prices are okay for the area, (but filtered coffee at $6 seemed overprice) and the vibe is lively, but food quality like this makes me question going back. Sorry to say, but this visit was a miss. 1/5 stars.

The food was not bad but the portion sizes were very large even for our family of 7. Service was a little off except for the bus lady she was kind and helped us a lot. Seems like a group of caring individuals but overall just not happy with the experience.

I’ve visited this restaurant more times than I can count and have never been disappointed with their food. Located in a plaza, there are parking spots available, though during weekends or busy hours, it fills up quickly.

The restaurant is on the smaller side, with a decent seating capacity, but it fills up fast on weekends, leading to longer wait times. The service staff is friendly, but during peak times, the service can feel slow or inattentive.

As the name suggests, this place is great for trying dosa. The dosas are thick, the portions are huge (easily enough for one person), and the prices are affordable. The taste is exemplary. They’re known for their large portions, and while their biryani is good, we usually stick with their dosas. Be careful not to underestimate the portion size—I’ve seen people order multiple dishes only to realize it’s more than enough to share. Their mutton keema curry dosa is a standout, with the keema packed full of flavor.

If you’re in the area or looking for a spot with good, filling food, this place is worth a visit—just be prepared for potential wait times and slower service during busy periods.
