The food at Poached Kitchens is truly exceptional. The quality is fantastic, it’s comforting to know I’m getting real eggs and natural, fresh ingredients. My mother-in-law always said, “You get what you pay for,” and this place absolutely proves her right!
I’ve visited a couple of their locations, but the Whittier spot really impressed me. I ordered the Classic and loved every bite, especially the sourdough bread. The whole experience felt bright and refreshing thanks to the fresh ambiance and huge windows that fill the space with natural light.
There’s plenty of parking, the décor is cool and modern, and their holiday decorations were tasteful, festive without being overwhelming.
We’ll definitely be back. This is a beautiful location with amazing food and great vibes all around!

Had to check this place out. Its definitely on the higher price, but presentation and taste were great. You do pay before you sit, so check out the menu before you go. Luckily we had no wait, but I hear this place gets busy. The meal shown was $120 with tip.

Maybe it was an off morning , but we tried the seasonal burrito and there was no flavor in the meat tasted a bit like frozen meat reheated . The eggs Benedict were great , good flavor , coffee was also good and service was great ,so I’ll have to go again to try another type of burrito .

I know they are new at this location. I gave them grace for that. I know there is growing pains. But when they have wait staff who is completely rude and disrespectful I draw the line. The waitress brought me an orange juice. Which looked like pineapple juice. I questioned it. She tells me that it’s because orange season is over that’s why they look like this. Which is actually incorrect…I let that go since she obviously doesn’t know. I then see her bring out orange juice to another table which was clearly orange juice. My husband then asked her to exchange it for a different one. And when she poured a new glass I heard another patron ask what is that! She explained it was orange juice…she then brought me the new glass of orange juice and when I said to her “I just wanted to let you know that it actually is orange season…” didn’t even finish my sentence to educate her and help her she said “oh ok” and turned her back to me and walked away. I was astounded at the disrespect. I couldn’t even eat my food I was so angry. I called the manager over and he apologized but made an excuse that they were new and still training people…I then asked him if part of the training was teaching the employees how to be nice and respectful to people…he said no…I said then don’t make excuses for something that is basic.
We left and came to Aloha stacks where the vibe is better…much more Aloha…

I love Poached in Downey so when i heard they opened one in Whittier of course i had to try it! The staff was super welcoming and nice. The restaurant is clean and modern looking. Food was great of course, i had the red chilaquiles and a dulce de leche coffee. The only negative for me is that there’s no changing table in the bathroom for babies. A lot of families will be visiting the restaurant and having to go to the car to change a baby can be annoying. That’s the only negative in my opinion, other than that it was a nice visit.

Food was fantastic. Steak and eggs a little pricey, but well worth it. Great service! HIGHLY recommend if in the area!

Had such a great experience at Poached Kitchen! I ordered the chilaquiles and they were absolutely delicious, perfectly balanced, flavorful, and comforting without being heavy. You can really taste how fresh everything is. I paired it with a vanilla latte that was smooth, not overly sweet, and the perfect complement to the meal.
Huge shout-out to Veronica for the amazing service. She was so kind, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and everything from start to finish was wonderful. Definitely a new favorite breakfast/brunch spot in Whittier. Can’t wait to come back!

I come down to visit my mom who lives in Whittier often for breakfast and we always struggle trying to find a solid breakfast spot.
This spot was great! We really enjoyed it. The breakfast burritos were delicious and the service was great. Really excited that a good breakfast joint finally opened up in Whittier.
