Well, I guess I will start out saying I was very disappointed at his place because it has been on my list for a while now. Its focal point is Louisiana style of cooking, and it didn’t live up to the hype at all. Everything we had was bland and didn’t have any flavor. The price was reasonable, but the food wasn’t worth $58 that I spent at all. We had the fish, the roast beef and chicken fried chicken, and were disappointed with everything we had. I can’t really say if I’m going to give this place another try because right now, it’s not on my list yet. Hopefully, down the line, they improve and actually put a little more seasoning in the food because it needs help.

We met up with family to treat mom for Mother’s Day. Mom had the Chicken Fried Steak, unfortunately it was a tough cut of meat. It was not good at all. I had the stuffed peppers. That was edible, but it was one pepper butterflied with the filling sitting on top of the pepper. So it wasn’t actually a stuffed pepper. The sides weren’t good to me either. I also noticed an odd smell as I sat there. It could have been from cleaning products, not pleasant at all when dining. Other than that, we were with family, that was nice. Unfortunately, it’s a no for me. I will not be returning to this restaurant again.

Really enjoyed the drinks. The roast beef is amazing. The wings were awesome, although they are little, they are really tasty and I will definitely order two orders next time. They are delicious and have a nice crisp to them. Haven’t been to this place since I was in college and so glad I came back to try it again. The hurricane is really good, and the Yo Mama drink was awesome.

Welcoming from the start. When placing and order the servers were very attentive. Food had plenty of taste! Room for the whole party. The drinks from the bar were very much needed. They treat you like family. We will end up going soon. Thank you, for having us. Odd but I will share, the soap in the Restroom is amazing.

I love this place. I always get the roast beef po-boy. My companion had the catfish and said it was excellent. We were promptly greeted and seated. The waitress was attentive. It was a bit pricey but what isn’t these days?

I’ve tried their grilled porkchop plate before they had great flavor so we decided to try again!!!! I’m from the boot & I must say fries are bland no seasoning & shrimp had no flavor! I sent my husband today on his lunch break, fries were not hot neither & before you say because it was takeout we live right across the street. Ordered at 1pm text said it was ready at 1:13 I gave 2 stars because it was ready fast. $32 we could have kept. Not worth it…..

Friendly service and atmosphere- good food. The Yo Mama cocktail is similar to the Swamp Thing at Pappadeaux. I appreciate that they mark which items on their menu contain pork and that their gumbo is 100% seafood. Crawfish pies/empanadas were ok. I’ve had their chicken and dumplings on a previous visit and they were legit. Yams are my fav of the pork free veggies. 4/5 stars for my experience today.

You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, but my favorites are the Roast Beef, the Chicken and Dumplin’s, with the black eye’d peas, and those amazing collard greens! Friendliest service in town and if you’re lucky, Lil Mel will stop by and say hello! A MUST when in Irving!
