The blueberry muffin is amazing when just got off the oven. But I probably should of got the Ube Coconut Muffin, better next time.
We have came here multiple times, not one plate was bad. Everything is good. You can’t do wrong, omelets, pancakes, and breakfast burritos. The cherry on top are their muffins.
Pluneria Cafe is definitely a new addition to our rotation breakfast spots.
To begin with, the place is super clean and organized, the atmosphere is very inviting, with a modern design and neat arrangement of items.
Make sure to check out the menu on the window or at the hostess podium while you wait, and be ready to order as you are guided to enter to the cashier’s counter, once you find your spot, your food should be right out ,This time we barely waited 5 mins. for it, I got some steamy and spicy ramen, just perfect for this rainy morning of the first days of the year, that was a Hit!
We also tried the french toast and Eggs Benedict, so creamy and delicious.
We had a very nice experience and we will be coming back, we felt like in our last vacation to The Big Island, good times!
And wait! Did I forgot to mention the staff is super friendly and take care of you with a huge smile? It was amazing! And if that was not enough the price is reasonable too.
Thank you to you all at Pluneria Café.
– fresh, crispy cinnamon toast crunch
– tasty sauce
Kalua Loco Moco
– good gravy
– good kalua pork
– needs more gravy
– needs more salt
White Lava Pancakes
– good bananas
– sauce isn’t sweet enough
Triple Spam Masubi
– good
– not too much rice
Pork Belly Masubi
– messy
– pretty fatty
Fresh Brewed Coffee
– good coffee
Chai Tea Latte
– light chai flavor
– tasty
Side salad ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
– good
– soy sesame dressing
Grilled chicken Breakfast burrito ⭐⭐⭐⭐
– was the savory winner for me
– needed more vegetables and diverse filling
– liked the salsa
Kahla seared pork belly huevos rancheros ⭐⭐
– not enough chips
– the pork smelled really rancid, almost like BO or a rotting corpse
– liked the beans and eggs though
Plumeria omelette ⭐⭐
– too heavy and creamy
– wouldn’t reorder
– the shrimp is juicy though
– liked the potatoes
❤️Ube pancake ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
– ordered without the powdered sugar
– not too sweet
Spicy chicken katsu waffle ⭐⭐⭐
– soggy waffle
– didnt like the cheese, needs maybe a curry sauce
– the katsu needs to be actually katsu not a chicken tender
Nutella crepe ⭐⭐⭐
– just ok but the fruits were extra fresh
– it would be a good idea to order just a side of fruits here
We got the Roasted Kalua Pork and Applewood Smoked Bacon Burritos. Out of the two we would recommend the Applewood burrito.
The real stand outs were the; Triple Spam Masubi and the Ube Pancakes.
The spam masubi was packed with flavor and the size was generous.
The ube pancakes were an unexpected surprise, they were extremely fluffy, paired great with the coconut shavings and is definitely worth a try.
Great spot, cozy indoor and outdoor seating, paired with quality food.
Put this place on your list.
