We really enjoyed the collection of vegetables and meats, but the crust was a bit much. The dough was fresh and tasty, but towards the bones – we needed more sauce. Good pizza, no doubt, but ask for extra sauce for the crust.

I was sitting at Verve and I remembered passing by Pleasure Pizza on the way out of the nearby parking lot. We wanted a small lunch, so pizza by the slice was an easy option. I looked it up to check the reviews and, lo and behold, I saw a coworker left a good review for this place. That solidified going here. I am a creature of convenience.

This place is chill, a symbol of a bygone era in Santa Cruz. They compete with another local downtown place called Pizza My Heart and although they aren’t as good I like the toppings they use better than other places, the ham on the Hawaii was quite salty and flavorful unkime from other places. Their dough is thin in the middle with a fluffy crust. It’s a good place to just grab a slice and chill.

The pizza is good here but everyone working is so stoned they can’t figure out what they’re doing The workers are just walking around in circles and picking up slices and then putting them back, it’s hilarious. “Chill” is definitely the vibe lol. Took about 15 minutes to get a slice due to this reason.

Fun atmosphere. Went with family. Wasn’t too busy at lunch time which I liked since I have three little kids. Prices were a tad high but affordable for a splurge. We dined in, but the next day we ordered for take out. When we got there they were quick to let us know that the ingredients weren’t fully thawed for one of our pizzas and refunded us the money. Then proceeded to ask if we’d like it just without the topping. We chose not to take it simply because it was the main ingredient to the pizza and would be weird without it. Very kind. Would go back again. If ordering for kids I think it’s a better deal to buy a 10” round verse by the slice. If you have any left over it’s perfect for leftovers at another meal.
