This may be a little hole in the wall, but the food quality is above par. I found the ribs to be a little tougher than I usually like but good flavor. The pulled pork was mediocre. My buddy that joined for lunch said he was really impressed by the chicken.

Family of 5 visiting Oceans Springs on a beautiful Saturday. My husband and I had a taste for BbQ and decided to give this place a shot. To our surprise no one was here. As soon as we walked in we had our orders taken and received our food shortly after. The BBQ was tender and sauce tasty! The Collard Greens and Mac and Cheese were my favorite. Even down to our drinks, lemonade was fantastic. If you’re looking for a local small business bbq, please check them out! So good!

I was famished when we stopped at this location. They say that hunger is the best seasoning. So it was surprising to me how dissatisfied I was with the meal.
I ordered the sausage platter. The main course was very salty. Still edible, but I love salty foods and it was on the cusp of being too much for even me. The potato salad was also a bit salty with a dill pickle flavor. Honestly it wasn’t too bad. The best part of my meal was the coleslaw. Sweet, crisp and flavorful. The miniature pecan pie was good as well, though a little pricey.
The waitress was pleasant, though it felt forced. She left shortly after we arrived, so perhaps she was running late. I was not really aware of what my party was saying either, but they are not really the rude sort so I am left to believe that she just wasn’t vibing right.
The decor was not especially outstanding. It did not really seem to have much of a theme to it, though I got the impression that they were more of a late-nite, dine outside type of establishment. If that is the case I wish I had dined during their targeted hours. Maybe then there would have been some thing that I could have lauded as “worth it”. The place was really clean.
All in all it wasn’t a great experience and kind of pricey for food that was closer to a public school cafeteria plate than a restaurant platter.

Brisket was dry and chewey, ribs were also dry. Chicken sausage were fantastic along with the beans, potato salad. Sauce was very good also. Service was ok, waitress forgot to get us our drinks and I had to remind her. I think it was over priced based on the experience.

They opened at 11 am and i arrived at 3 pm. I got the 3 meat platter. The chicken was fantastic! Perfectly cooked!
The ribs were really dry, super thin on the bone, and the membrane was left on for cooking, which probably led to those parameters, will not order again!
The brisket had no moisture to them at all and could be eaten like bacon or stiff ham. Not only that, they had grill marks on them as if they were reheated from the day before. Will not order again
Service was fast…. like really fast, and it was a good atmosphere.
My wife liked her chicken salad. She did mention the ranch tasted kinda watery.

Stopped in for lunch today. Ordered the ribs/brisket plate w two sides. ($22)
Overall, the ribs were just…so so. Small and somewhat dry with little flavor other than salt. The brisket was paper thin and resembled bacon or lunch meat and tasted more like liquid smoke than anything. The baked beans were straight out of a can. The potato salad was very basic and dense…not bad…but not great either. Again, little to no flavor. The toast was cold and actually tasted a bit stale to me.
I’d say this place is average to mediocre, but also keep in mind I’ve eaten BBQ all over the United States.
Is it good on a local level? Sure.
Would I come back? No.
It’s just “ok” and didn’t wow me. Sorry.

What a great spot for some amazing BBQ in the heart of Downtown Ocean Springs! You can absolutely taste the love and passion through the food! They offer daily home style special dishes! The brisket is one of the best around town!! Service was great!

See the red on the rib? That’s from smoke. The smoker outside is actually in use and I watched the owner bring ribs in off the smoker and plate it up for the customers. This is absolutely 100% the best BBQ on the Gulf Coast. Forget Murky Waters, forget any other place.. THIS is the spot. Everything from the service to the food was top notch.

Sides have the potential to be much better. BBQ sauce was tasty. Brisket had flavor, but the portion size for the brisket could be thicker slices. Overall, good BBQ restaurant in Ocean Springs.
