I tried the matcha latte which was $7.85 after tax and I thought it tasted pretty good. Menu had a wide variety of different and innovative drinks to choose from. Cafe is also right in-front of a Thai restaurant. Staff was friendly and they had a few tables and seats inside as well.

W cake, nice matcha flavour and the cream is perfectly dense, the top strawberry layer was nice and sweet, and the bottom has a layer of sesame seeds which i really enjoyed

Very cute little spot! Has 6 tables and has outlets, so it’s a good spot for studying. Great drinks, I personally tried almost all their cakes for birthdays and other occasions. They’re amazing! Also the barista was so nice!

Plearn cafe is a cute little coffee shop near Toronto metropolitan University. The typical crowd are university students, but this spot is great for working as well. The Wi-Fi is fast. There is plenty of seating and most importantly a lot of power outlets. It is well maintained and a great spot to spend a few hours. The drinks here run on the expensive side, but there is an interesting variety of specialty cold drinks and bubble tea’s you can choose from as well. I didn’t try any of the food but they have pastries cakes and other baked goods available too. Overall this is a great aesthetic spot to spend your day.
I got the taro latte which came with two roasted marshmallows on top. The drink was not too sweet and it tasted very good but it was not cheap.
Washrooms are clean.
The girl working at the counter is very friendly. I will return if I’m in the area

Cute place! 10$ per drink, which is a little above budget for me, but really tasty! I’d recommend the Mango Specialty Drink, pretty cool rice and foam flavour! The matcha quality was good, and the taro was smooth. Cool that you can also get alcohol drinks! They seem to have homemade ice cream and other treats too. Nice seating and atmosphere, but there’s only 6 tables!

cute new cafe, but unfortunately I think the aesthetics outshine the food. I ordered an almond milk latte and it was very overpriced for what I received. The coffee went cold quick and once it did, it tasted off. Not much comfortable seating, with one but table equipped with a power bar. Don’t come here if looking to get work done. I am interested in trying other drinks so I might return, but my first time here wasn’t really up to par.

pros:
– aesthetic ambiance

cons:
– expensive
– lack of seating
– not much bakery selection
– opens a bit later

overall rating: 3/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

aesthetic cafe with super cute drinks. because of this, the drinks are expensive for what the content is. i got the matcha cloud latte which although was super pretty, was alright in taste. you are definitely paying for the atmosphere of being there and picturesque drinks. i do also have to say that tables are quite small and not a lot of solo seating spots.

Recently visited Plearn Cafe to unwind with a friend before our evening plans, and it didn’t disappoint. Conveniently located near TMU, it’s easily accessible for students. The interior boasts a minimalist yet cozy vibe, with muted white tones and beige bricks adding to its charm. We were intrigued by their unique chandelier, which added to the ambiance. As for the drinks, we tried the Banana Coffee and Nice Day. The Banana Coffee, a blend of espresso, caramel syrup, and banana milk, offered a delightful mix of bitter and sweet flavors. Meanwhile, the Nice Day, with its peach, honey, yuzu, lemon, and soda combination, proved to be a refreshing treat with vibrant citrus notes. Just a heads up – seating lacks backrests, so it might not be ideal for extended work sessions. Nevertheless, it’s a great spot to enjoy specialty drinks and unwind.

I visited Plearn recently to do some work, and was pleasantly surprised with my experience. The coffeeshop’s clean and thematic decor stand out as soon as you walk in. The visuals on the coffee shop were very pretty, and it made taking pictures of my order fun. The service was amazing, and I enjoyed my latte order. My main criticism is that the cafe sacrificed some functionality for aesthetics. Plearn is often talked about as a co-working space, but all of their sitting are backless stools (even in large tables with charging ports) that don’t accommodate that. Otherwise, a very pretty cafe for a drink with a friend!

I first stumbled upon PLEARN on Instagram through a delightful reel shared by BLOGTO featuring a wide array of their specialty tea and coffee beverages. The aesthetic of their lattes was enough for me and I promised myself I would stop in when I was next in the city.
They did not disappoint! From the first minute I entered the shop, I felt invited and at home. The menu items are listed clearly on the menu and all drinks are available hot or iced. I chose the coconut latte with almond milk and a toasted coconut croissant. Both were delicious!
The ambiance of the café was inviting. There was plenty of seating, with tables for one, two or a group. I did appreciate that there were many seats for one, so I did not feel awkward or like I was, “taking up space” that otherwise would’ve been occupied by two people.
As a novice home barista, I spoke of my poor attempts to make latte art at home, and one of the owners, Earth, chatted with me and gave me a 30 minute impromptu lesson to help my barista game. One of the stellar perks of small businesses.
This gem comes highly recommended; I went back the next day for another coconut latte. I have already mentioned the shop to several friends and I look forward to my next trip!!!
