Hostess and server were welcoming. Atmosphere was a little too dark and room temperature could have been warmer. Tortilla chips should have been served warm and seasoned, if you want your restaurant to stand out from the rest. Chicken Mole was good but not enough chicken for cost of the meal. I wish there was a little more flavor in the sauce for the WOW FACTOR.

Plaza Bonita is such a cute, authentic Mexican restaurant! The atmosphere feels warm and welcoming from the moment you walk in. I had the beef taquito appetizer with rice and beans, and it was excellent — perfectly seasoned, crispy, and full of flavor. The portions were generous and the service was friendly and fast. Highly recommend if you’re looking for delicious, authentic Mexican food in a cozy setting!

First time at Plaza Bonita and we were really impressed! Briss was amazing—super friendly, fast, and made sure all our order requests were taken care of without a hitch. The food was excellent—the Caldo was especially flavorful and comforting. And the margaritas? Perfect. Great atmosphere, great service—we’ll definitely be coming back!

We usually stop here before heading to Yogurt Jungle and the food is always fresh with friendly service. It’s a local favorite that’s improved over time, even if parking can be a bit hectic.

Food was really good here, but service was a little slow, apparently they’re looking for more servers since there’s a sign on the door saying they’re accepting applications. The food is really good, we had no complaints at all about the quality and taste. Pricing is reasonable and there’s plenty of parking out front. This is your basic Mexican style restaurant with fresh made entrees.

All I can say is WOW!! The atmosphere, food and service was top notch. We went there for dinner on our anniversary. The food are flavorful with nice size portions. Although we thought the burritos would be bigger they were still amazing. Definitely will go again and bring our children with.

This place is a hidden jewel. The Server was patient and accommodating regarding dietary restrictions in our party. The servings sizes were excellent and the food was traditional Mexican cuisine and tasted good. I need to go back to try dishes other than the burrito.

We eat here before we go to yogurt jungle. Good wait staff and the food is very fresh. It tends to get a bad rap from out-of-towners but it grows on you fast if you live here, at least that’s what my family says. They have gotten better over the years. Kids like eating here.

A really disappointing meal! This restaurant has decent reviews so, we decided to give it a shot. The service was good and it has a bright and fun decor. Unfortunately, we were seated in the bar area and there were several obnoxiously loud and obviously intoxicated individuals drinking at the bar. So that was pretty annoying. This is Arizona so I didn’t think it was possible to get bad Mexican food, but we didn’t like the food we got at all. The chips were stale. The salsa was runny and bland. We ordered beef fajitas for two. They looked and smelled pretty good and they even tasted good, but they were so tough and chewy that they were almost inedible. We had to cut up every piece of meat to be able to chew it. There was barely enough meat to fill 4 tortillas. The rice was completely dry to the point of being crunchy and the beans were flavorless. The order of fajitas for two and two drinks was just under $30. The best part of the meal was the guacamole and my Dr Pepper. Maybe other things this restaurant offer are good, but I would not recommend the beef fajitas at all! Try this restaurant at your own risk, because I do not recommend them.
