Disappointing service and mediocre drinks.

The food here is decent Mexican-American, but the service makes it hard to recommend. Even on a slow Monday night, we were ignored by the host and waited 16 minutes to be seated while others were sat ahead of us. Our server was completely indifferent and rushed us out by bringing the check without a word. To top it off, the cocktails were way too syrupy/thick. I’d only suggest this place if you don’t mind poor service and subpar drinks.

Stopped here on a whim as we were driving across country and hungry. The reviews and menu online looked good.

The decor and vibe was very cool. We loved all the hanging lamps in the front. Everything was clean and modern.

Our server, Allan, was excellent! We enjoyed virgin margaritas: prickly pear, jalapeño and mango habernero. The pina guacamole with jicama and pomegranate seeds was delicious. You could tell the chips were homemade and not too salty; I’m sensitive to salt.

The tacos were yummy! We tried the grilled fish, sweet potato and blackened salmon. The salmon one was both of our favorite. The grilled fish taco was disappointing; it tasted like it was dressed with regular coleslaw. The fish itself was great but not sure I’d order that again.

The black beans were firm and good but the cilantro lime rice was NOT good at all. The cilantro and lime flavors were vague and they added a LOT of filler corn to it which was not mentioned on the menu and unnecessary. I am not a cow in need of fattening up and you don’t need to add a starch to a starch:(

Great team work here! The hostess pulled out our seat. The busser refilled our water. The food runners (other servers) were as friendly and helpful as our main server.

Overall, everything was wonderful and we’d come back. We would just stay away from the items we didn’t like.

Service and food do not match the decor! Seated right away, waited over 15min for a drink. Chips were terribly salty! Ordered the chicken tortilla soup to come first! However the drinks came 3 min before the food and it all came at once ! The barria tacos were cold and dry .. Did not have a good experience the Owner/ manager was walking around with out a care. Voiced my displeasure and he walked right by ! Not customer service orientated at all!

Review written 10/05/2025. Delicious food but only giving 4 stars because they messed up the kid’s side for my nephew (he ordered corn on the cob and they gave rice and beans)

Plenty of options for vegetarians

Pictured is vegetarian nachos and vegetarian taco with sweet potato

Pretty decor

Nice comfortable waiting area with couches and lounge chairs

Large parking lot

They also offer curbside pickup

They take reservations for dine in, but it is not required

If you sign up for their email list, you receive a coupon for $10 off of $30 or more during your birthday month

Been here multiple times and it doesn’t disappoint! The three tacos I had were great! I highly recommend the Al pastor, the firecracker shrimp, and the Nashville hot chicken. I was suspicious of the last option but it turned out to be really tasty!

Solid mexican spot in Bloomington.

I like that they provide free chips and salsa. They’re NOT skimpy at all. Our party of 3 got 2 baskets in front of us before we even sat down.

Diet coke refills are free, thats a +1

The chips were really good with a nice crunch, salsa not bad either.

I had the strawberry pineapple margarite. Absolutely delicious and pretty sweet but still had a bite to it (in a good way).

Tried three tacos. The only one i didn’t love was the Al Pastor. The pork tasted a bit weird and the sauce was overly spicy.

Carnitas taco was the big winner. Meat was juicy and tasty and the sauce went so well with everything.

I also liked the pork belly taco, nice big piece included.

Service was great! Would come back

Got to the restaurant early and was able to get a seat at the bar! The bar service was awesome and our drinks were great…TexMex Mule and Blood orange margarita were so good!
Table was ready, right at the reservation time(although there were tables empty!)
Chips and salsa were great along with the Esquites!
We both had fajitas…I had steak and shrimp…really good but steak was a little tough. Also had a chicken fajita, that was ok…I liked them, wife thought the breast meat tasted great but the dark meat had some fat in it!
All in all it was really good and we will be back on our next visit!

Our first visit! Driving back from STL we stopped here for an early dinner. Had the carne asada torta special, two kids meals (Mac and cheese and a burrito with sides of veggies and ranch and sweet corn), guacamole, and chicken tortilla soup. Churros with 3 sauces for dessert. Everything was DELICIOUS! Staff was friendly and kind. Will definitely return. Great for families and groups. Nice bar with TVs, but still classy.

Excellent dining experience. With it being graduation and mother’s day weekend, the restaurant was packed but our waitress was very tentative, the wait for food was short and the food was delicious! This was our 3rd experience here and each visit has been fantastic. Looking forward to our next visit.
