Fast and friendly service in a festive atmosphere! Victor was our server. They have a nice variety of things on the menu and we enjoy different dishes. Today we got table side guacamole and it was excellent. The enchilada Texicano was a lunch special and it was filled with seasoned steak, shrimp and chicken. The meal was filling and the blanco sauce was good. I will be ordering that again. Plenty of free parking by the door. We will be back.

This Mexican place is sooooooo good! I’m not the biggest fan of Mexican food in general. But plaza azteca is on an another level. I got the burrito Texano (steak, chicken and shrimp) … best burrito I have ever had in my life. No joke! The restaurant is very clean and well decorated and the staff is really friendly and fast. What more can you ask for! A+ all the way around.

i went to plaza azteca a few nights ago and i need to leave a review bc ive had this waitress several times and she’s the sweetest girl and always gets my confusing order right (which is often otherwise mixed up). i think her name was azu? tableside guac and salsa could genuinely be my last meal and i’d die happy. i love the workers so much they’re all angelic and the food brought me back to life

This place looked super busy, however we found good parking, a once we were inside, we were seated so quickly! Our waitress was excellent she provided great service, brought out refills fast, and checked up on us frequently. Not to mention our food came out very quickly for it being so busy, and it was up to standards. Very impressed and will be back!

My fiance & I had a great dinner last night. The food was delicious. Good atmosphere & the restaurant was clean.
Our waiter, Freddie S, was very busy with a few other tables. One table had 12 or more ppl and he remained calm, patient & unphased.
He was timely with our table. Very friendly & polite. Gave us a few recommendations on drinks & shots.
We wanted to get a picture in front of the gold wings & the hostess was kind enough to take some for us.
Highly recommend.

Aug 2025 update ==> Came with a party of 8. Menu has changed some items. We missed one item that we really liked, but tried the Chile Relleno (Loaded) which was good and one of the new chicken dishes. The chicken was pounded very thin so it was cooked too long on the grill and ended up being dry. The same problem affected the grilled fish tacos. Other then that though, it was still very tasty and the staff is still amazing.

This is a huge space that will accommodate either very large parties or many smaller ones. It is at least the second outpost of this national chain in the Pittsburgh area and features the same menu to be found in all of them. The only thing i noticed that was different was the page size.
Servers were friendly, fast, and efficient. The table side guacamole cart was well stocked and the man making it knew his business. He made the adjustments we asked for with no problems.
Food came out fast, was tasty, and was not too expensive. So while this is definitely a chain, what’s not to like?
May 2021 Update: Went again, now that COVID restrictions are being lifted and had a wonderful meal. Domingo was an absolute gem with his sense of humor and catering to our needs. Food was excellent as well. Definitely our favorite Mexican restaurant in the area!

I came theres for lunch and good lord the service was amazing. Waiter kept checking on me, got My food extremely fast and hot even though I ordered 2 meals and a flight margarita, and the place was so nice and clean. Food was very delicious, one of the Best latin food places I’ve had near Pittsburgh!
Also the menu was overwhelmingly huge. Something for everyones no matter how picky.
