We have lived in the area over 30 years. Last night I said, “Why have we not tried this restaurant!” Best margarita I have had in a restaurant, food homemade and delicious, from the fajitas being flavorful and moist, to masitas, delicious! Will definitely be coming back and bringing friends!

From the moment we walked in the vibe was different. The ambience was warm, welcoming, and full of life. You can tell this place takes pride in the experience, not just the food.
The chips and salsa were incredible. Fresh, bold, and perfectly balanced. That salsa had the right kick and the chips were crisp and warm. It set the tone immediately.
The service was immaculate. Attentive without hovering, professional but still personable. You feel taken care of the entire time.
The carne asada was cooked to perfection. Tender, juicy, seasoned exactly right. The guacamole was fresh and made flawlessly. You can taste the quality in every bite.
This was not just dinner, this was an experience. I will absolutely be recommending this restaurant to my family and friends. If you want great food, great service, and a great atmosphere all in one place, this is it.

Came late night with my kids!!! Dania was an awesome server..maybe one of the best I’ve had…my 4yr old was super taken with her and she didn’t seem to be bothered that he took forever to order…she had other tables but let him keep her attention…..she even brought him a sample drink to try…she was smiling the whole time….I think this place is family run….when you have staff that invested in your business you get killer results and consistency!!!! They made husbands food with chicken instead of beef..and she QUICKLY fixed it and it was still good!!!! I will come again and again and I bet she’s the same with everyone…her name is in lots of reviews…they’re being honest!!!!bathroom was clean as well!!!!

We had a great experience at Plaza Azteca Mexican Restaurant in Bethesda! I had the steak fajitas and my wife ordered the beef nachos. Both dishes were fresh, flavorful, and arrived quickly. The portions were huge — definitely enough to share or take home. While the décor is a little dated, the service and food more than make up for it. Overall, a fantastic dining experience!

Went with a friend who ordered fajitas with chicken, shrimp, and steak however, the fajitas lacked steak. There were only tiny pieces of steak which was disappointing. The server spoke with the cook and the manager who then agreed the dish was not well prepared and offered to remake the order. However, we decided to take the refund because the server was terrible and it actually took my friend an hour to receive her food and the restaurant was not busy at all. The over all experience was unpleasant. The drinks were not well prepared and watered down. The chips and salsa was not tasty. The Hostess was friendly but all other staff needs to work on customer service skills. Will never return and will not recommend

okay i am really impressed. i like mexican food but most of places put too much salt. Not this place!!! they know what they are doing and are doing a wonderful job. Everything was soooo good! you can really taste all the ingredients and each spice and they are so well balanced. I loved my food and will be back soon. Wow I am so happy I found this restaurant!

My wife and I came here for the first time yesterday. Found the menu online and thought there was a good spread to order from. We were seated right away and the staff was friendly and got drinks and chips with salsa to the table right away. The food we ordered was delicious, easily in the top 3 of Mexican restaurants we’ve eaten at recently. Prices are just a bit more than I would like, but given the area, not unreasonable. I highly recommend for the quality of the food. We will be back. Pictures are the Jalisco combination plate and the fajitas.

The food here is really good, and the young servers are very nice and respectful. The gentleman working by the bar is also great. However, the lady who seems to be the manager lacks basic customer service skills, which unfortunately affects the overall experience.

Amazing! Fast service, friendly and courteous staff and most importantly, authentic delicious Mexican food. The guacamole is a must. We had the Bistec Cubano and the Trio Saltado, both quite tasty. Covid friendly, definitely coming back for more !

It looked like it was closed from the outside due to the lighting and the tint on the window. The inside is nice. Was not expecting the fine dining style tables. It was sit anywhere. The waitress was very attentive and pleasant. I did not have to wait for my drink to be refilled at all. My family was happy they had jarritos. The food was excellent, especially the chicken tacos. The wierd thing was the 7 cameras in such a small space. We speculated about the reasons. Bar fights? Robberies?
