It’s a bit of a drive but Crawford Cookshop is worth it. The restaurant is bright and comfortable and the service is provided with a smile. We shared the grilled romaine salad and pimento cheese appetizers. Both were quite good. Pet peeve, the pimento cheese came with too little bread but more was provided when asked for. I had the fried catfish which was both delicious and huge. Another guest had the fish special of the day , looked amazing and again was a generous portion. The table also enjoyed the apple and brie grilled cheese. The roasted root vegetable salad was the only item that we would likely skip next time. It was good but not quite what we had expected, maybe it was the smoked ricotta. Might have to try the duck wings next visit.

Great atmosphere and food was excellent! For appietizer we tried the bacon cornbread which was great! My husband got pulled pork sandwich and I got the pork Duroc and both mouthwatering. He tried the green dream and really liked it a special drink with a kick. We had to try the s’mores brownie it was unique and rich! Our server was great! We will be back.

I hosted a large party event with (25+) attendees for Raleigh Clayton Area Foodies (Facebook group) here last night with great success. We were on the patio, and thankfully, the weather was perfect. The restaurant was well prepared for us and delivered great service. Everyone agreed the food was phenomenal – you really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Their weekly specials are something to look out for. I’ve had so many great experiences here. If you haven’t been yet, check them out!

My husband took me on my birthday, a Wednesday. We ate inside and had the BEST service from Lisa!!
The drinks, appetizer, meals and dessert were fabulous!! Kudos!!! The Wednesday special is fried chicken, which I love, so that’s what I ordered. My hubby got the Babyback rib sandwich. He loved it.

This is a fantastic restaurant all around. My family and I had the best experience here tonight! Kirsten was our server and probably one of the best I’ve ever had. Friendly, accommodating, knowledgeable, and made our first trip here one to remember. The pimento cheese, crab cakes sandwich, she crab soup, shrimp, and grits, and pork entree were all outstanding and we cannot wait to come back. This is what hospitality is all about, foh and boh nailed it. Great cocktails and beer too, and don’t forget that bread pudding for dessert!!

Recommend the short ribs, bone marrow, and fish dinners. Skip the charred salad. No meat may be added to any of their salads.

The atmosphere here is superb if you’re sitting outside. Even on a night that was below 40° it was very warm and cozy sitting by the fireplace. It was quiet and romantic. They even provided us with a blanket.
It is on the pricier side, so for date night it’s perfect, but not for a casual regular meal. The check for 2, shared salad, 2 sandwiches and 2 drinks was over $100. The grilled romaine salad and favorite burger were extremely tasty and I highly recommend them. The only dish that I don’t recommend is the rib sandwich, the flavor was lacking. I think it could benefit from a bolder sauce or more toppings, so hopefully they revisit that dish.
All in all, we would return here again for a nice dinner.

Made reservations for last night with my husband! The food and cocktails were amazing. My favorite were the crispy hot wings and the fall off the bone soy sesame wings. They also had great cocktails, I had a Mezcal cocktail and my husband had the Crawford old-fashioned. I’m so happy this amazing spot is in our community! We have a lot of family that comes visit from out of state and this is a perfect place to bring them out for a delicious dinner and cocktails — without having to drive all the way out to Raleigh. So lucky to have this great culinary experience right down the street!

We went to this restaurant with another couple for the first time. Ambience is very nice. Nice bar area. Good customer service.
Food was pretty decent. Bone marrow appetizer was something we never tried before so it was definitely the highlight of the night. Very tasty but I wish there more bone marrow on the bone. Definitely ordering that next time.
For my entrée, I ordered the Chicken Confit with white beans. Chicken was cooked throughly and it was juicy. It was missing some seasoning but that might be just me.
My wife ordered the Short Rib plate. Flavor was good but the meat was not as soft as we expected. Flavor was good though. Drinks were alright. If you are in the Clayton area and looking for a place to eat, this is definitely a place you want to try. Chef/ Owner has won multiple awards and also has other restaurants in the area.

We came here tonight for our anniversary and it was such a good experience! Our server Leah knew the menu well and suggested perfect dishes for us to try. I had the burger and my husband had the hanger steak- amazing. I ate it before I took pics but here’s our dessert which was phenomenal!
