This is probably one of my favorite Mexican restaurants. They have a huge menu and the food has all been really good! I’ve had their chicken quesadilla which was so good, the fried rice and one of the special bowls. My boyfriend has had the Birria tacos and quesadilla and loves those. My dad absolutely loves this place and orders the empanadas every time. It’s definitely a good place for big parties and families. They have so many food options and I’ve always had a good experience when I dine here. I highly recommend checking them out if you’re in the mood for some really good Mexican food and honestly the portion sizes are huge and priced well.

I’ve ordered take out a few times and it’s always good! Great portions and the best refried beans and rice…I always order extra! A few days ago I dined in and it was great! I feel like I’ve been missing out on the great service and cocktails by ordering take out! I will dine in more often! You have to try the cucumber jalapeño margarita with tajin rim. So good I had a second one.

We enjoyed ourselves for dinner here in December 2025. As others have noted, the portions are quite large. The food is well seasoned. The drinks were on par with craft cocktails. The let down of the evening was the tres leches, which was far too dry. Our server, Yanni (spelling?), was attentive and lovely.

1st time visiting Plaza Azteca and our server was Diego Nicolas who was so awesome. Very friendly and very attentative. The food was awesome and so were the drinks. The portions are enormous. We will definitely will be back!

Have been here multiple times for all different occasions. Last trip for my wife’s birthday, she loves this place. Food is great with generous portions. Chip and salsa, free right off the bat. Margaritas are excellent from flight to 2 size of Margaritas regular around $15- to jumbo from around $20-. Staff and management are always friendly. Enjoy

It took awhile but I was finally able to eat dinner here with my family. The reviews were mixed but we agreed in the end. They start you with chips and salsa. The chips seem right out of the bag while the salsa was just pureed tomatoes. No spice or flavor. Didn’t seem to have cilantro or other spices. They also give you their version of ranch dressing for the chips. The sauce was very sweet. We had to ask a couple of times if they had salsa with any spice and the waiter brought out a spicy one. So the choice is no spice or firehouse spicy. No in-between. My husband joked the next time we will bring our own and just ask for a bowl.
For dinner my husband got the combo beef taco and beef enchiladas, I got the seafood enchiladas that was supposed to have shrimp and crab meat. The flavor was good but I couldn’t see or taste the crab meat. It does have a huge stalk of celery down the middle which I found strange. Not sure why it wouldn’t be chopped up. One of my daughters had the chicken and spinach enchiladas. She said it was sweet. I guess the cook likes sugar. My other daughter had the Baja fish Tacos and she liked them. For dessert we shared an order of churros. They were VERY GOOD. They have a cinnamon glaze filling which was unexpected but good.
