Being a senior, I hesitated to go to a bar so close to a college (CUSM) but there was a good variety of patrons. The ambiance screams sports bar & is outstanding. Service was top notch! There was not a chance one could go thirsty or be hungry. I had the quesadilla, ordered with carnival. Food arrived fast & the presentation was impressive. It was good, just not enough meat. Looking forward to future visits!

I ordered the burgers from this place and I highly recommend to never order that ever from here. The burger was probably the worst burger I have ever had in my entire life. A school cafeteria burger is better. It’s a super weird thick frozen preformed burger that tastes disgusting and the bun smells like play dough. How can you serve food and not care at all of the quality of it? Making a good burger is incredibly easy. I never leave reviews anywhere, but I had to for this place because it was that bad! The owner should be ashamed of themselves.

Nice sports bar. Best potato skins I’ve ever had! Pasta Alfredo was excellent. Chicken strips were heavily breaded and dry. Buffalo wings were outstanding. The place is large and has a plethora of TVs. Crowded and loud. Hard to have a conversation. Wait staff were great, especially considering the crowd (world series night).

Don, the Bartender, is a gem! Made this experience incredibly fun.
The food is good, place is clean and the owner, Ted is a true gentleman. It does not surprise me Ted would hire a Don, birds of feather flock together.

What can you say about this divey college sports bar. Not much. Not much bad about the place. But not much good either. The food is terrible, terrible quality ingredients, and terrible preparation. If it isnt fried, you probably shouldn’t order it. I know that sounds weird. But the “fresh” stuff doesn’t seem fresh at all. At least the nasty fried food has killed all the possible bacteria. If youre here for a game and beer. No problem. But the food needs Drastic Improvement

Finished our round of golf and needed to find a place to watch Game 7 of the Stanley Cup finals. Players Sports Grill was really close to the course so we ended up here. Great place to watch sports as they have plenty of TVs. Service was excellent and food and drinks was your normal pub/sports bar type. Glad the the Oilers didn’t win!

The service is great, the $17 pulled pork sandwich was more like a chewy sloppy joe. The hamburger looked good but no variety. And if you want onion rings they only give you 5.

It was a great experience being at players sports grill. They closed the entire restaurant for our event at no cost! The football players from San Marcos nights had a great time getting awards and having a very simple menu for all to enjoy. Thank you players sports grill for contribution. I look forward to going back and trying the chicken wings!
