We were traveling through on the highway and found Players and decided to try it out. Upon arriving, the 2 young ladies asked if we wanted the dining room or the lounge. We opted for the dining room since we thought it may be quieter. The girls looked like we spoke in Chinese, very confused. They said the lounge was pretty empty. We wanted the dining room and finally got it. We were greeted by our waitress who brought us water. The water was VERY nasty. When we both wanted a Coke instead we explained it was because the water tasted bad. The waitress told us it was just Warrensburg water.
We ordered our food and it was good for the most part. We had the chicken plate with salad and mashed potatoes and gravy and a gyro dinner. I opted for the fried potato salad as my side. The mashed potatoes had a good flavor, but they looked like they had sat and not been stirred before being dipped out. The chicken was PERFECT! Very crispy and moist, just as you want it. Oh yeah…. It’s a whole half chicken. The fried potato salad had a weird color and just didn’t taste good. The potatoes were soggy, not fried crispy with a crust. The gyro was good and there was plenty of food. Very good portions! I took off a star for the waitress bringing me a to-go tea, twice, that was very watered down and not as good as the first tea I had. She also forgot our Coke for a while and I had to remind her.

We had seen the billboards so we took a ride Been there, dine that. The salads were ok, nothing to write home about. A lot of brown lettuce. I didn’t care for the dressing at all. My husband said the hamburger wasn’t cooked properly, so the bottom bun had blood on it and was inedible. I had spaghetti, living in the northeast for years, it didn’t measure up. Service was mediocre. I asked if the tea was brewed, was told it was, it wasn’t. Servers should know answers to basic questions. Pricey for what we had. I would not recommend. On site parking. Cleanish restrooms.

Just as I remember it from 10 years ago when I lived in the berg. We got good and timely service. My pasta dish was great, but my wife wasn’t as happy with her chicken. Overall very satisfied with the experience.

Needed more tv’s in my opinion. The seating made it feel a little awkward when eating. The food was good and the employee that served us was awesome. Will definitely go back.

Service was a little slow, but we had a large group so it was understandable. Not getting a refill until right before leaving when waitress said multiple times she was going to get me one is not acceptable though. Food was very good. If in the area I would go back again.

I went to visit my Granddaughter and took her to lunch. I was unfamiliar with the city in which she was living. I didn’t want fast food and was looking for something where we could get some good food and catch up as we ate! Players is the place to go in Warrensburg to have some great food in a comfortable environment. Our server was very attentive and gave us plenty of time to look over the menu. The food was fantastic! I will eat there again.

I was eating with my husband for lunch. We waited 40 minutes for food, which is quite a while. Then, when I found a HAIR in my food. The waitress took the plate and had it remade. Another 15 minutes later, my food was there, and I was no longer hungry. My lunch date with my husband was already over because lunch hours are an hour, and he had to leave. I am so disappointed. We don’t get to do that very often, and everything went wrong. The hostess never came over and apologized or even attempted to make it right. I took my meal to go, and paid the full bill. Players, do better.

The food is genuinely good. The menu is a crazy, mad-house of a conglomeration with way too many options and variety of food. I stare at the menu for way too long trying to figure out if I want a gyro, or a chicken fried steak salad. It’s crazy.
They always have about 6 teenagers all crammed at the front and they kind of greet you awkwardly, then get sort of put-out when have to seat you, but then the wait staff is always really accommodating and attentive during service.
The worst part about the place is the booths, four grown adults CANNOT comfortably sit in a booth together. You end up with elbows in each other’s plates and it makes cutting a steak impossible.

BF took me therefore, Valentine’s dinner he had the prime rib said it was good not great. I ordered the salmon and it was absolutely terrible! Dry (even though I ordered it medium) And no flavor at all. Iced tea was apparently instant, and not brewed, looked and tasted like colored water. I was really disappointed because we had dined here in the past and one of the reasons we kept going back is the salmon was delicious. Evidently, they’ve got a new cook who is not skilled at the art of cooking salmon. Service was OK but beware if you eat in in the bar, you may encounter a couple of the drunk regulars.

I misjudged this place before eating here. I assumed it would be some run-of-the-mill sports bar, in a small town just off the highway, maybe a burger and fries but nothing extraordinary. I was WRONG. Players’ menu is impressive, with authentic Greek and Italian dishes and lots of drinks options. I’ve tried several of the unique apps and entrees and have never been disappointed. My husband is a burger fiend and says their gouda & mushroom special was amazing. We even chose to visit Players for our anniversary dinner this year! Pic is of the salmon crostini app, which they pair with a dill sauce – yummmmmmm. You’ll see prices a bit higher than a sports bar and grill, but, you get what you pay for. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable too. Recommend this place to anyone, whether in town or just passing through.
