The Sweet Cream Cold Brew is hands down my favorite iced coffee — and I’m not exaggerating. It’s perfectly balanced: not too sweet, not too bitter. Just smooth, refreshing, and completely addictive. I also love the freshness of the fruit in the bowls!

I had my first experience a few days ago and it did not disappoint. The service was great! The staff was friendly and helpful. The environment was clean and bright with upbeat music for the win. I enjoyed my acai bowl. It was a great summertime treat.

So I’ve been to Playa Bowls twice now, I was slightly underwhelmed by the customer service both times. I think service could be more friendly and helpful and I also feel like the workers behind the counter could come off as more friendly or “happy”. The green juices and smoothies are the only items I’ve tried- one thing I noticed right away is that the drinks tasted differently each time I went. The drinks are a bit inconsistent in quality and the time it takes for items to come out is a little outrageous. I waited over 15 minutes for just one drink. I really believe the restaurant needs some time to marinate and the quality of menu items and quality of service will improve as more months go by. Overall I recommend everyone give this place a try it’s worthy trying out!

This was my first time experiencing Playa Bowls. I heard really great things about the establishment and was excited when they opened in Snellville. I got a Mango Berry Bowl, it was very good and I will return. My concern is the staff and how you can’t really tell where the line ends to get in line. Also, I think someone should be communicating that you will not earn points on your first order without scanning and downloading the app. I was only told this AFTER, I already placed and purchased my order. As a result I cannot give Playa Bowls Snellville 5 stars. Customer service is EVERYTHING. Going forward, I will just order online and pickup. Maybe it will get better, but for right now, they aren’t organized enough for me.

Okay so I was really excited to try this place out because a friend of mine went this morning and said it was great! I know it’s their first day of opening (and I believe they had a soft opening prior) but I did want to comment a few things to help, not necessarily criticize.
I waited quite a bit for my oatmeal bowl and I saw several people grab their bowls before me that had arrived after me. So, while I know it’s served hot, if it’s a case where the oatmeal has to be made fresh, I do think that should be noted upon ordering. I truly thought my order had been looked over or forgotten about due to the wait.
Secondly: I don’t think I’ll order the oatmeal again. It was extremely thick— almost like it had been sitting too long and all the moisture had been absorbed. The toppings made it easier to eat but it was very difficult to mix up. I’ll try for something better next time.
Other than that, very cute place. The staff was very nice. I’ll try again soon and hopefully that experience will be better. I wish them the best of luck! It’s hard running a food business these days!
UPDATE: Okay I decided to come back and update my review! I went back yesterday to try a different bowl. I was so hungry, I forgot to take a photo but this time I ordered the Nutaya bowl! That was delicious and when I go back, I will likely stick to this base! I still had to wait a bit and did still see a couple people get served before me that arrived after me but the wait was not nearly as long as it was for the hot oatmeal. I do believe their flow has gotten a lot better so I’ll give it a 5/5! I can’t wait to come back!
