One of our favorite places to eat in Rocky Ford, really miss eating out here since moving away last year. Great food at this local spot and definitely worth checking out. Friendly service and their pies were an absolute delight. I loved the French dip sandwich meal, but everything we tried here was awesome. Food was always served fresh even for to-go orders, and very tasty. The delicious pies were a standout and handcrafted with love, we enjoyed every flavor honestly. Will be sure to eat here again when we visit!

We stopped here for lunch on a road trip. Delicious food, good prices, friendly staff. Great place to get some comfort food while on the road. Definitely get a cinnamon roll and some pie. The Bierrocks are really yummy too! Kid-friendly food is always a plus.

Great little place to grab some really good food. Everything is fresh and made to order. A very quiet and relaxed atmosphere in what was formerly a Church. That said, i found the whole experience to be “quite Heavenly.” Easy in and easy out; make sure you stop by for some outstanding chow the next time you find yourself near Rocky Ford or La Junta. It’s well worth the trip and I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Really excellent restaurant, I wish it was more well known. The people running it are very awesome, and two of my siblings even ended up working here as wait staff. The steak is incredible and really one of the best things you can get here, but I’ve never had anything bad. The staff is very nice and on several of my visits the chef sometimes comes out and checks on the customers meals, which I really appreciate. Really high quality food for a high-ish price, but considering what you get with atmosphere, staff, and food, it is definitely worth it.

The atmosphere is very nice a little Ma & PA type of restaurant. Service was excellent, I personally got the smoked brisket sandwich and French fries it had amazing flavor. It was just enough portion size to fill you up to satisfy. But not give you that Thanksgiving turkey meal type fullness, lol. I was in a party of four and all of us left full but not stuffed. Also, later that day my daughter got married and the same people catered her dinner for about75 people and that was just as good and filling. It literally tasted like the made it at the restaurant and brought it over to the reception which was maybe two blocks away, lol!!! So if you’re ever in Rocky Ford, CO and your hungry and looking for a sit down style restaurant think of Christine’s and enjoy a party on your taste buds!!!

Clean and tidy little place. Food was fantastic! I had the pulled pork sandwich, my wife had the prime rib sandwich. Both were fantastic and very juicy. The prices are cheap!!! Also, have some bread pudding while you are at it.

First time I have ever eaten at this restaurant but have eaten her food several times at catered events. We were there celebrating an Aunt’s Birthday. Had a very good lunch and had some great deserts, but you had better order your desert when you order lunch or it might be gone by the time you get ready to eat desert because they are so good and made fresh each day so is a limited amount available.

This restaurant is the best we’ve ever been! Mike’s smoked prime rib is second to none, and Christine’s homemade pies & bread are delicious! Breakfast was fast, hot, and wonderful too. Each of their staff is friendly and give great service. Definitely worth the trip to Rocky Ford!

In the area for vacation and decided to try this location.
1. The location and ambience. Located 1/2 block off of Hwy 50 and is easy in and out again. The building is an old German Lutheran church that was built and started over 100 years ago. Each menu has the history and it made for great reading while waiting for our order.
2. The staff – Really only interacted with one waitress and although she was quite busy, she multi-tasked incredibly well and took good care of us.
3. Cleanliness – This is a big one for me whenever we visit a new location. It was clean from the entryway to the tables to the restroom area. They did have a few screws sticking up on the deck which would be a hazard, but when I pointed them out, they said they would take care of it immediately.
4. Selection – A very good choice and even have some specials that are not always on the regular menu. It might be worth asking just in case you miss it.
5. I will start with the PIES! Yes, the pies, ALL the pies. Each pie is homemade and includes: meringue pies, sour cream & raisin, pecan, apple, cherry, and cobblers. Incredibly the sour cream & raisin and the raspberry creme pies are probably the best. I do not think that I have ever had such good homemade pies. If you do NOT stop on your way through even just to get a piece of pie, then you have missed out.
6. The food:
a. If you have never had a bierrock, you should get one. Big enough that one and a bowl of soup or salad would fill you up, these are a German pastry filled with cabbage and German sausage. These would make a great breakfast treat as well.
b. We ordered the meatloaf and another homemade treat hit the spot. Three generous slices along with a selection of vegetables. This was really the only weak spot for us. The green beans were very flavorful but they were cold to lukewarm at best for each of us. The coleslaw was very good and I am not normally a slaw person. I would eat this one again.
7. The Conclusion: While not a large establishment, it is worth the stop and we would eat at Christine’s again. They apparently also offer a catering and bbq choice on the weekends which seems to have high marks.
