Reviews
However, even though the food is always great, the service is consistently disappointing. I understand that most of the staff are teenagers, and no one expects perfection, but their customer service could really use some work.
A few times, I’ve come in around 7:30 PM (they close at 8:00 PM), and it feels like they’ve already mentally closed for the night. They’re mopping floors around customers, only offering to-go orders, and one of the first things they say is, “Our lobby is closed.” They won’t make smoothies because they don’t feel like cleaning the blenders and they won’t make certain bowls because the smoothie bases have been put away and/or they don’t want to prepare more.
On my most recent visit, an employee slipped on the freshly mopped floor while handing a customer her to-go order- yet another reason why the floors should probably be mopped after closing. He fell, got up, and handed that customer the same crumpled bag that had just hit the floor. The customer was polite about the situation and didn’t say anything about her presumably very disheveled bowls. Shortly after, another employee came over and told them, “Our lobby is closed.” What “lobby”? Lol. You’re going to hand a customer their to-go order like that – without an apology – and then basically tell them to leave? I know the employee didn’t intend to fall, and thankfully he didn’t appear to be hurt, but the entire situation was just incredibly off-putting.
If the store truly wants to stop serving customers at 7:30 PM, they should simply post that as the closing time. Everyone understands wanting to go home at the end of a shift, but it genuinely feels like the staff are trying to turn away business after a certain hour- and it’s a shame because the food itself is really good.
**Photo is from a previous visit when we were allowed to dine in the store**
I got the pura vida bowl with half pitaya and had agave and chia seeds added on and it was chef’s kiss
Staff were amazing and had wonderful customer service
Definitely coming back soon
This appears to be a vegan place that serves breakfast. It was lunchtime, but I ordered oatmeal topped with strawberries and blueberries. The berries were fresh and sweet. The oatmeal was good.
Unfortunately, I ordered a smoothie with carrots and ginger. There was way too much ginger. I couldn’t finish it.
The flatware and straws here are compostable. That’s good.
Literally just people sitting on their phones and no one actually working except one nice man.
Absolutely unacceptable and would highly recommend reconsidering staffing.
We will not be back
*Update , Here is the response from I’m guessing the “owner” (sent from iPhone), instead of apologizing or actually checking the cameras*
We waited 14 minutes for ZERO smoothies.
Edit: I forgot what I ordered, sorry!! It was a green bowl tho w/ almond butter and blueberries added per my request:)
I enjoyed my bowl all of the ingredients worked & tasted very well together. I would def try again.
My daughter didn’t like hers as much because it was too much banana I believe the mix at the bottom of the bowl included banana as well as granola & added bananas at the top she said it was missing something maybe chocolate or something. Overall not a bad place to try out! Beware if u don’t eat it all at the same time & it’s a very hot day out it’s a high possibility it will melt & it won’t be the same after.
Service was ok nothing spectacular. But we got our food in a timely manner so not really any complaints.
I have never tried anything like before, but I’ve seen these bowls at other locations. There are two entrances in the front and rear.
There is indoor seating, plus a cute small lounge area towards the rear. There is a restroom available.
I wish I had spent time looking at the menu because they do get a lot of traffic in and out, and I didn’t want to hold up the line. All I know is I wanted mango, which is my favorite fruit. For my treat, I ordered the Coco Craze minus the coconut flakes and ordered the Electric Mermaid for hubby.
These tiny bowls are the size of ice cream sundae, but they are packed fresh ingredients and leave you mighty full.
The decor is quite the cute, with their tropical theme of surf boards, wooden inspired tables, and chairs, plus the painted murals of waves and tropical leaves.
The honey was very sweet and overly charged my taste buds. I will say I will try it again; their price point for some items start at about $9 and up. If you want a heart and healthy treat, definitely check them out. We received the greatest service, and it is hard to come by sometimes at some places.
