This was my first time visiting this location, and I was immediately disappointed the second I walked in. The store looks like every other playa I’ve been to, but its employees are nothing like what I’d seen before. They were sitting on counters and talking when I walked in, and even though I was the only customer in the store at the time, they chose to ignore me and continue their conversation. The blonde girl who helped me seemed annoyed and like that was the last place she wanted to be. As for the bowl itself, I got the mango glow bowl and while the fruit did taste fresh, the base didn’t have the consistency typical for a Playa bowl. In my opinion, the customer service and quality were not worth returning to. Hoping for a new location to pop-up nearby soon.

I stopped off at Playa bowls in Merrick and had a wonderful experience. The girl who help me was so nice, she made me a wonderful bowl. I would recommend this place to anyone especially girl that helped me Amanda, because she was just a fantastic worker who cares. So make sure when you when you go ask for Amanda to make your next bowl or smoothie. Way to go Amanda!!! it’s very nice to see young kids who want to work they are our future!

Just left this location where they refused to serve about 7 people because it’s 10 minutes before closing and they prioritize online orders before customers that are in the store. Asked for the names of the two people working behind the counter and they said they don’t have to give out names. We’re we’re trying to order a few bowls and we’re willing to order less to even accommodate the fact that they said what we were ordering was too many for them to make. They also close 15 minutes early whenever they get the chance. Don’t see this business sticking around due to employees that do not want to work. Will be getting in contact with Playa bowls headquarters since this is the only location that believes they don’t need customers in order to operate.

While the quality is usually very good. The girl who helped me today made me wait every step of the way because her texting was very important. Took my order- pause to text- process my card- pause to text- complete sale pause to text- go to make my bowl but first pause to text. Mid preparing of my bowl- pause to text. This bowl was definitely not as well done as they have been in the past. This place is not cheap- I’d like consistency. The texting was over the top the delays in my order do to the texting insane. And the other girls were busy texting too- this location would benefit from having an adult present. I can’t say I won’t go back but I certainly would not add to the tip jar. If their lives are so busy that they can’t stop texting perhaps they aren’t in the right place for a job. It may not be the right time I their lives. Hope the managers sees this and trains then to do better.

Just sat down and had the tide bowl. This place is great and the food is fresh. Very clean and awesome beach vibe. Very surprised over bad reviews but noticed the only bad reviews are from people that have never left a review anywhere else. I do not trust the negative reviews. Seems like competition just trying to give this place a negative view.

came here today with my mom for the first time and it was delicious. we got a banana bowl & a coconut bowl, we really enjoyed both. the almond butter, pineapple & mango were sooo fresh and yummy! the girls were super nice at the register as well!!

My absolute favorite place to get acai bowls. I have one almost every day. I buy 3 at a time and freeze two for the next couple days. They are just as fresh and delicious to eat if you let them thaw out a little bit.
