I love the that you can customize any bowl to your liking. Always fresh,always delicious and the ease of having Playa Bowls delivered is the reason why its always our first choice for delightful healthy treat. I prefer the coconut bowl, while my husband likes the acai bowl. Our son recently ordered the latest addition to Playa Bowls’ menu Goldie Mango bowl.

The vibe of this place is a 10/10! I was helped by Izzy today who was extremely considerate of my allergies, which is highly appreciated. I got a Nutelloco bowl and it was delicious! I have never been disappointed by this place. I definitely recommend coming here!

I love açaí bowls and of the places I’ve ordered from stateside (specifically, in NJ), Playa Bowls is my favorite. That said, this location (Somerville) is just terrible. I’ve ordered from several Playa Bowls locations including Montclair, South Brunswick, East Brunswick, New Brunswick, Belle Mead, and Watchung, among others, and this one pales in comparison to the rest. Don’t get me wrong, some of the other locations (e.g. the Watchung location) could also stand to improve in some ways (e.g. customer service and pace), but there’s still no comparison. The Somerville location simply can’t seem to make a bowl without skimping on the things that matter most — the açaí and/or the fruit toppings. Let’s be clear, these bowls are NOT cheap. My bowls are on average, before taxes and tip, about $14. By the time I add taxes and tip I end up spending about $18 if I order in person (even more when I order via UberEats). To walk away with a bowl that’s 50+% granola is flat out unacceptable. Frankly, it’s highway robbery. And without fail, every single time I’ve ordered from this location that is precisely what I’ve ended up with: a granola bowl. It doesn’t matter how I place the order. I’ve done so in person and via UberEats. My bowl inevitably ends up lacking a significant portion of açaí or fruit; sometimes both. Once, when I placed an order via UberEats this location had the audacity to give me four exceedingly thin slices of what could not have even totaled an entire strawberry. It made me wonder if they were down to/trying to stretch their last bit of strawberries, and if they would have tried that if I’d ordered in person. And of course there was limited açaí and a ton of granola. After attempting an in-person order that yielded a bowl with an insufficient amount of açaí, and way too much granola, I stopped patronizing this location altogether. And since this is the location closest to me it means I don’t order bowls anywhere near as frequently as I otherwise would.

Nice store. Very clean, great location, and unique menu. Love the art in the store. The fruit bowls they have here are fantastic, but I usually come for the smoothies. Employees seem to be nice and very accommodating every time I’m in there. 5 stars is mostly for the cleanliness and unique offerings they provide at playa bowls. I would recommend trying this at least once.

Seriously the slowest playa bowls I’ve ever been too. The workers are more concerned about gossiping with each other than getting the orders out in a timely manner. When questioned if my order would be out soon the worker gave me a low-key attitude. Will not be coming back here.

Awesome healthy ffruit bowls with an amazing variety of combinations. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Environment is welcoming and have an awesome feel. Reccomend since most options are about $10 absolutely recommend!

I had ordered prior to coming for a pick up order, I waited 1hr and half for playa bowl. This place is slow staffed and careless employees. Go to cafe nune in bridgewater instead of this playa bowl.

I loved the winter “avalanche coconut bowl!” The color is pretty and the flavor is nice and mild enough as a base for the other toppings. This location is usually pretty good with online orders and keeping things moving. It’s a lovely ambiance and I like that Playa bowls has taken a summer treat and adds seasonal twists to it. I get cravings for it often-will be back!
