I have gave this playa so many chances. The Spanish girl at the register and sometimes cutting up the fruit has a really nasty attitude. She never makes the bowl correctly. I’ve watched her on many occasions argue with customers because of a small particular way the CUSTOMER is asking to make the bowl. I have encountered times where her attitude was as if she did not want to work. My bowl was sloppy and it ruined my excitement for my bowl. I literally drive to the orange playa location just to avoid the attitudes and lack of care making my bowl. These employees need a retraining on customer service!!! So disappointing!!

My favorite place ever! Delicious bowls and smoothies my only recommendation is offering half bowl portions. Sometimes the full bowl is too much. Other locations in NJ offer half bowl for those looking for a smaller snack. Other than that I’m so glad to have a playa bowls 5 min from me

More and more healthy options are becoming available and that’s a good thing. This was my 1st time experiencing Playa Bowl so I didn’t know what to expect. The options were plenty and the service was on par. I’m vegan and I’m always on the lookout for healthy options. This place is a keeper so be sure to visit if you are ever in Elizabeth, NJ.

I do not recommend Playa Bowls in Elizabeth. You spend 20 dollars and this is the service you get. Understaffed and not well trained. I don’t think they know what to do. I don’t blame the staff. Whoever owns this establishment needs to get a grip on this amazing franchise. I usually go to the Millburn location and it’s stellar there. I was in the area and figure I try it out and it was a complete fail. You will wait 20-30 minutes for your bowl too. Melting away.

Don’t know her name but I got into it with this young white girl a while ago due to her nasty attitude. Long story short her co worker took my order and didn’t put down what i wanted to remove. If management would like to talk to me that’s cool, but the story is too long.

Today I bought an Olas bowl at the Elizabeth location at 2:50 pm and unfortunately it was a horrible experience. The mix was very unpleasant, the person who served me took 1 minute and 30 seconds to prepare it, the texture was slimy and I had to throw it away. One thing is clear: I will not be buying from this franchise again because it’s not fair to waste money like that on a product that looks like pig feed.

Left here about an hour ago and I’m not the first and I won’t be the last to say it. Upon arriving I placed an online order at 2:35, the app told me my order would be ready at 2:56. I arrive early at 2:47 and there was no sense of hospitality. One lady was tending to a lady who had her whole face in the pick up section where they bag the food. Another lady was prepping bowls and the gentleman was slicing the fruit. I go to the pick up section to wait for my turn and still nobody acknowledges me, ok that’s fine. I placed an online order so I’ll just wait until my time approaches because there were probably 2 people in the store besides me. I stand there for 8 mins watching my bowls sit there and that is when the First Lady asks me if I need help and I tell her I’m waiting for my online order. The lady who had her face planted in the pick up section placed her order. And received it immediately. The time is now 2:55 and you would think that my order should be wrapping up. She looks shocked and looks back to see my bowls sitting there and tell me, “oh I’m sorry. Give us 2 minutes”. Ok fine. I ended up leaving at 3:05. No problem. I inspect my bowls and I’m charged extra for 3 pieces of Kiwi in each bowl. I don’t care I just want to go home at this point because I’m over it. Something told me to check the base of the bowl and the whole thing is watery. Meaning it was probably sitting there before I got there. I’m so disappointed and annoyed at this point.

I havent been here for like 2 years – it has definitely gotten better – better quality of fruits !! The bowl looks small but it does get you full. The service is pretty quick and they have more options than before for sure
This is a good place to try different bowls other than acai.
The atmosphere is so nice – its literally beach vibes and my favorite part of it is the benches because its very secluded.

I love the decor. The staff are polite and soft spoken. Excellent customer service. My smoothy sucked but I’m sure it was a taste preference. I am trying new things on their menu all the time. My bowl was tasty though.
