Playa Bowls in Woodbridge is one of my favorite spots in the area. The bowls are always fresh, delicious, and made with great quality ingredients. Everything tastes amazing and you can tell they really care about what they serve.
The staff at Playa Bowls is always friendly, professional, and welcoming. The service is quick and efficient, and the place is always very clean and well maintained.

I’ve tried to give this location multiple chances, but at this point I’m really disappointed. I previously had an issue where I brought a concern to the owner, and although he said he checked the cameras, there’s no audio, so my side of the situation wasn’t believed. Even then, I still gave the place another chance because I understand people have bad days.
Last week, the strawberries in my bowl were soggy and actually made my stomach hurt. Today I went back and ordered a Nutella bowl with strawberries and pineapple. I let the shorter young lady know that the strawberries weren’t good last time. She told me they were fresh today.
When I got to my car and opened my bowl, the strawberries were soggy again—the exact same issue. I brought it back inside to show her. She insisted they were fresh even though I was showing her they weren’t. Then she asked if I wanted her to just replace them with the strawberries that were already sitting out on the cutting board, which didn’t feel sanitary or safe at all. I told her I needed the entire bowl remade. She still asked me to throw out my own bowl even though a garbage can was right behind her.
She remade the bowl but shorted the amount of açaí I normally receive, and her attitude the entire time was unnecessary. The other young lady working finished the bowl and was very kind and professional, so I appreciate her. But customer service is just as important as the product, and the attitude from the shorter employee today was disappointing.
For context, I’ve even witnessed employees at this location touching money at the register and then trying to make bowls without changing gloves—something I pointed out directly to the owner when he happened to be there. He corrected it right away and thanked me, and I only mentioned it because I’m very conscious of basic food safety and have worked in food service myself.
I know mistakes happen, but this is a pattern now. I’m not giving up on Playa Bowls altogether, but I am done with the Main St. Woodbridge location.

You can’t really mess up a bowl lol , I just felt like they were extra light on the Nutella . The girl with dark hair at the register , wasn’t bad . She just was just short , like to the point , no smile or anything . When i paid for my bowl in cash , whatever coins she gave , i tossed it into the tip cup . She almost immediately took the cup and a single dollar bill that must’ve been in there and I’m sure said something sarcastic to her coworkers. The girl who made my bowl was pleasant . I believe she had blonde hair .

I made a review on Yelp about a month ago I guess management don’t read the feedback there. So, I usually go to the location in Edison bcuz they make the bowls perfect there. Both times I went to the Woodbridge location, they seem to forget to include the main ingredients. So, about a month ago I ordered the Nutella Bowl here. Take it home and when I open the bag there was NO Nutella on it. When I asked the girl who made it before I left, she said it was on the inside. Well, that’s not how she should be making it bcuz the other location always loads it up with Nutella on top. I’ll attach the pictures. The Woodbridge location really needs to train the people working there on how to make the bowls the right way. First pix is from Woodbridge location. 2nd is Edison. So, you tell me. Both are supposed to be the Nutella bowl.

I love playa bowls especially this location usually the staff at this location is very on it and upbeat but today I was BEYOND disappointed. I ordered my bowl way ahead of time like when I was at the linden train stop only to arrive & find out it hasn’t even been made which was okay I wasn’t in a crazy rush. My bowl though was an absolute mess bases were layered on top of each other instead of side to side & no honey & peanut butter on top of my fruits. I have no idea what was up with the staff this morning but I hope they do better!

I came in and there were two girls in the counter on 11/25/2024. One girl had a bad attitude and the other girl was very pleasant. Other than the one girl who was not so pleasant the playa bowl was delicious and I enjoyed it as usual.

HORRIBLE SERVICE! I placed an online order for a custom green bowl, something I typically order. This is what I received. I called to ask for my correct order to be made as this is not what I ordered. I was on my lunch break so I was not able to drive all the way back and bring the bowl (I was going to have a friend pick it up for me) but I offered to send a photo to the girl so she knew I was not lying. The girl on the phone was 1. Extremely rude 2. Dismissive 3. And accusatory. She kept telling me she was the one who made the bowl and knew the base was green and she insisted I was lying. She refused to make the correct order. Extremely disappointing as now I have no lunch. Do not go here. Waiting for a refund.
