This is the best Chinese food in terre haute. If you get a meal it is more than enough for two people. Do not bother to get sides of everything just get the combo. It comes with SO much meat. If you wanted to get extra rice MAYBE get a side but I swear there is plenty. We order online often and it is very smooth. Pay online or at the counter when you pick up. Prices are great for the amount of food you get. Good warmed up for sure!!!!

Got the triple delight with a small white rice & small house lo mein with 1 baby shrimp that was in it there, an just noodles nothing The white rice was completely mushy, soggy overcooked. It reminded me of grits, it didn’t even have flavor it wasn’t like a formed. Chinese sticky rice should be. it did not taste good. It tasted like mushy, starch. My meal was, mostly large broccoli, had 3 big shrimp in it, 3 small pieces of beef, the size of a quarter and 3 small pieces of chicken about the size of a nickel, 2 small pieces of cabbage an that was it. The Lo mein had a good seasoning taste on it, but the noodles were very soggy like they had been sitting & absorbed all the moisture, they swelled up. That was probably the best part of the meal. that cost a bit over $20 very disappointed!! There was no point in calling them about my order. because I knew by their attitudes just for asking for extra duck sauce!! that it was going to be an argument and I didn’t want to deal with it. I Could of & should of went to Panda Express & spent only 1/2 & got alot better meal. I would never eat here again, the lady was rude when my husband asked for extra duck sauce, we would have paid for it if it cost extra, but she was rude & argued with him over, it was definitely not worth $20, what, I got! Maybe worth $7 of food & the quality was bad. Not good service. So if anyone’s looking for a new restaurant, this is not it! I’d never eaten here before & I told them we were new to the area & wanted to try it out. I will never go back. It would have been worth the drive to go somewhere else.I should have just got a pizza like my husband did! 2 star Quality, in every way, don’t waste your money here folks!! DO BETTER TO YOUR LOCAL PPL CHINA WOK!! Time was barely 4pm on a Thursday not even that busy for this disaster! probably just giving me the left over lunch stuff before the dinner Meals started!

We are traveling through and staying at a hotel in the area. We placed a door dash order about 45 minutes before close. We were told it was accepted but door dash kept delaying the delivery time and said they were still looking for a driver. Being that it was now after the restaurant was to be closed, we had given up, figured we wouldn’t get our Chinese and we were pretty bummed, hubs got ready to leave to pickup a chain burger just to get us fed when he opened our door to our room and found a man getting ready to knock! I don’t know this to be sure but it appears that some staff from the restaurant took it upon themselves to deliver our food! We are blown away by the service! They really went WAY above and beyond and exceeded our expectations in every way! We both got lomain and it was fantastic and the crab ragoons taste great! Perfect balance of sweet and crunchy!
We cannot thank the China Wok staff enough and highly recommend them! We will order again next time we’re back in the area!

Ticket -#722 over hour wait for delivery for online order, apparently driver couldn’t find my address, zero cars driving around the neighborhood, city sidewalks, well lit, food cold, had to reheat in our microwave, no offer from this company to reduced my order for delivery of very cold food, could of at least gave a $10 refund….nope, to bad, still going to charge full price. Quality service means nothing anymore

Ordered honey chicken and got some sort of dried up chicken with what seemed to be ketchup to dip it in. My wife got something else which wasn’t bad but was very dry. The Rangoon was chewy. Waste of 40$. On the plus side you get a whole big serving. Definitely quantity over quality. I’ll never eat here again.

Ordered shrimp CHOW MEIN and got shrimp CABBAGE.. Called and she said chow mein is cabbage. Lol!!! Call it what it is, you’re selling CABBAGE not CHOW MEIN. Google chow mein if you don’t know what it is. Thank you 🙂
Also, Whyyyy is the fried rice bright yellow? I’ve gotten food from here 3 times now and disappointed each time but this will be my last. Don’t recommend.

Always fast. Always huge portions. Usally pretty cheap. To get it delivered it has to be more than $12. They do deliver all over Terre Haute. The delivery people are not that good about having change. So I would either have as close to exact change as possible or use a card. They have reasonable lunch combinations. And they have dinner meals that won’t break the bank either.

This place was horrible, the woman who took my order had a nasty attitude and was too busy trying to hurry and take my order she couldn’t even listen to what I was saying, first off. Second off I waited for almost 25 mins for my food when it shouldn’t have taken that long. And third, the meat tasted like a mushy mess and so did the rice. It looks like they used food coloring or some sort to make it red. And the sauce tasted weird. I’m never coming here again for anything. This is the Bourbon chicken, stay away from it at First Wok!!
