This is the beachfront bar and restaurant attached to the Hilton’s Diplomat Hotel (fancy “Curio” collection) so expect to pay a premium. Service was great and accompanied by an auto gratuity. No glasses here, all beverages served in plastic. Nice day or night. Try the poke bowl which is a little different with rice noodles instead of plain rice.

Great poolside/ocean view bar that’s part of The Diplomat. Took a quick break from the conference and decided to grab a drink along with a light bite with a coworker. I got the piña colada and he got the frosé. Both drinks were frozen and delicious. We also ordered the salsa and guac that came with tortilla chips. The guac had a slight kick to it and the salsa had a delightful smoky taste. The bar is in between the ocean and the hotel pool and has a great view of the ocean along with tvs at the bar. There is an automatic 20% gratuity, but the bartender was super friendly and attentive, so it was worth it.

We had 5pm reservations and it wasn’t busy at all. Service was extremely slow. Our food took over 30 minutes to arrive and when it did, it was cold. They were kind enough to remake it, but we were starving the time it arrived. Won’t be returning.

We Ate the chicken nachos for an appetizer. Awesome and very filling.
The chilled lobster salad roll with the fresh fries was phenomenal! I typically don’t like chilled lobster salad but this was divine!
Also ordered the turkey club sandwich with the fresh fruit and had to try a bite even though we were stuffed and it was delicious. Now I have a midnight snack or lunch for tomorrow!

Great location and food, but not too remarkable. As mentioned in other reviews, the service was very slow. If you are looking for a quick bite to eat, I would not recommend going here.
The food was good, though a bit expensive. I ate the double cheeseburger which was pretty decent relative to other burgers.

Beautiful nice bar and restaurant on the beach with vacation vibe. The food was pretty bad. The wings were burnt, so half of them had dry meat in it. Ceviche is not chopped, whole shrimps with a spoun of guacamole, onions, and some cold bouillon in it, far from ceviche. Turkey BLT is on a soft bun, not toasted, and looks and tastes like a sandwich from 7/11. The only delicious thing was loaded nachos even though it wasn’t loaded that much, but the chicken on it was good… The waitress wasn’t smiling. We asked her to fix the table because it was moving, but she never did. Overall, the place needs some improvement, especially in this kind of location in Diplomat Hotel.

We loved the pool and the restaurants wow, great food at la playa tonight at the steakhouse for Mother’s Day dinner. Blake and her team have been super sweet, from kevin pool side service and Andrew at playa Resturant with his lovely smiles and on point service ….Just a side note when you come visit you MUST have the chicken Nachos!! Best cheese nachos we have every had, all the food is 5 star, great Chef hidden in the kitchen Great staycation with the family celebrating me! Mommy bear!
