When the food came it was burden and cooked in old oil, they also cook chips in the same oil as the meat so be wear if you don’t like eating meat you’ve been warned. The staff member dropped the food on the table and ran away before we could even ask for sauces. Would not recommend unless you like getting ripped off, and eating burned food. If I could give a 0 star I would.
Fantastic, friendly service with great quality seafood!
My daughter and I both went for the cod and chips, and we were not disappointed. The batter was perfect, with a slight crunch and a beautiful flaky cod inside – delicious. The chips were very good – non-greasy, which is very rare today!
We both had a pudding of chocolate fudge cake and crème brûlée; we were absolutely stuffed!
The restaurant is a nice, friendly size with colourful, sea-themed artwork on the walls.
We would happily return!
Even had fresh custard with apple pie dessert that tasted homemade and had just the right level of sweetness.
Would definitely recommend folks who visit the Barbican to give this hidden gem a try. It’s a cosy place that belies a masterful chef.
This is more than Fish and Chips, this is a top notch restaurant for lovers of all types of seafood! The Prawn cocktail was delicious, and The Large Haddock and chips with Garden peas were outstanding and exactly as it said on the menu, Large!
I would definitely come back here again next time I am in Plymouth, it has to be one of the best places to eat in the Barbican!
Perfect for a good quality sizable meal before a night out on the town or as a trip in it’s own. Don’t miss your chance to eat here if you are ever in town!
