My recommendation is to enjoy the salmon without wine or any other drink—just water. If you rinse your mouth before each bite, you’ll notice an incredible burst of flavor every time.
We ordered the salmon cooked medium, and both the fish and the risotto stayed perfectly warm throughout the meal. The hostess and our waiter were outstanding and even suggested what may be the best table in the entire restaurant.
The total for two salmon entrées, including tip, was around $72, and it was absolutely worth it.
Ate at plank provisions during happy hour. Need a review for Google, Port Old Fashion, shrimp toast, beet salad and beignet hush puppies all excellent as was service. Write it fun and complimentary.

Stopped by Plank Provisions for happy hour and—wow—what a win. The Port Old Fashioned was smooth and perfectly balanced (dangerously easy to love). The food lineup was all hits: shrimp toast that disappeared way too fast, a beet salad that was fresh and flavorful, and the beignet hush puppies… honestly, I’d go back just for those.
Service was friendly, attentive, and on point without hovering—exactly what you want during a relaxed happy hour. Great vibe, great food, great drinks. We’ll absolutely be back (and probably bring friends so we can order more). ✨

Wow! Stopped by Plank Provisions for happy hour and what a win. The Port Old Fashioned was smooth and perfectly balanced (dangerously easy to love). The food lineup was all hits: $1.50 oysters that were fresh and briny, shrimp toast that disappeared way too fast, a beet salad that was fresh and flavorful, and the beignet hush puppies… honestly, I’d go back just for those.
Service was friendly, attentive, and on point without hovering. Great vibe, great food, great drinks. We’ll absolutely be back. ✨
Service was attentive and professional throughout the evening. The staff was well-prepared, knowledgeable about the menu, and ensured that every detail was taken care of without being intrusive.
The food was outstanding. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared, well-portioned, and beautifully presented. The seafood in particular stood out for its freshness and flavor, and the accompanying sides were equally impressive. Cocktails and drinks were well-crafted and complemented the meal perfectly.
Our total bill, including drinks and gratuity, came to $335 for the group.
Plank Provisions delivered on every front. We look forward to returning and would not hesitate to recommend it to others seeking an enjoyable meal in a well-executed setting.
The item I enjoyed the most during my visit was the redfish ceviche. The leche de tigre, avocado, red onion, and black garlic were fresh and flavorful. There was a hint of spice and the tostadas added a nice crunch to the dish. The calamari was fried perfectly. However, for $15, I had better seasoned calamari for half the price.
The blackened catfish alone gets 1 star. It’s the primary reason for my overall 3 star review. I’ve ordered blackened catfish from many restaurants over the years. This one is the worst! I’m not saying the catfish or entree was bad. But, for the amount I paid I expected a savory mix of spices.
If you enjoy a bold, flavorful, cajun, southern comfort blackened catfish this is NOT for you. Sorry, but lack of seasoning in Cajun and Creole cuisines is disrespectful. If you receive a catfish that’s blackened correctly it shows they’re inconsistent with preparing menu items. I will say the way it’s prepared you don’t have to worry about heartburn. Note: There is retail parking on the side of the building.
