The French dip was super tender and great fries. Thin cut steak fries that were crispy but not quite potato chips.
We tried the bacon wrapped dates and they were really good. Just a bit sweet for our taste, but exactly what it said on menu so we expected that. Bacon was crispy on the outside.
We’ll be going here any time we are in the area.
It was delicious!! The smoke ring on the prime rib is no joke. My husband had their New York Strip with mashed potatoes and rice pilaf (he doesn’t like the bell peppers in the veggies). The smell alone would make your drool! We also tried their Crispy Brussel Sprouts for an appetizer! So good!
Our server was so attentive and just overall wonderful.
If you’re looking for a good steak or prime rib in the Grand Coulee area, this will be the place to go!!
It wasn’t easy to find a restaurant that opened after 7pm. This place is open till 8 PM. The food is pretty good. We had a good service and a good meal.
I ordered the salad with candied walnuts, apple and feta as a main & the four others with me ordered it as a side. Their’s all came and looked wonderful, when mine showed up it had almost no feta, but plenty of nuts and some apple. We asked and were told it’s mixed in, I searched the whole thing and never found more than a few crumbs of feta, but my fam all gave me some of theirs (they all had plenty) so it worked out. I’m thinking I got the last of a batch? What I did get I enjoyed and I would totally order it again.
My tween ordered the pesto pasta that came with a soup or salad and some crostini. She LOOOOVED it and nearly ate the entire meal, which is rare for her. My mum ordered the lasagna special and ate it all. Bestie ordered the brisket sandwich and liked all but the sauce, but he doesn’t like sauce in general. My husband ordered the chicken fried steak with veggies and mash and said it was a solid 3 out of 5. I would have ordered the tomato basil soup but when I asked if it was vegetarian, both servers didn’t know. One said they could look, but neither got back with the answer.
What else…
Our food came quickly and was fresh. My salad was clean and well dressed with oil and balsamic vinegar. The desserts sounded good but we had to be on our way.
Overall, I can see the chefs vision and I liked it. If I lived in this town I’d definitely be a regular.
My wife and I were on our way back from Western WA to our home in North Idaho and were passing through Grand Coulee about dinner time. We have some strict dietary requirements and try to stay away from processed foods so the Google description of this restaurant fit the bill.
Upon arriving in town, we also needed some gas for our car and decided to go there first which led us to pass right by PK’s. The outside looked a bit sketchy so I decided to ask the gas station attendant for a good place to have dinner in their town and she recommended PK’s. It was about 7:00 PM on a Sunday evening and the town appeared to be closed for the night as there were no people visible at all. With that said, we reluctantly decided to go to PK’s but we had an exit strategy in mind if it seemed sketchy after we went inside.
We parked right in front of the restaurant and as soon as we entered, it was like stepping into a another world. It was as if the whole town goes here for dinner. We were greeted by enthusiastic staff and upon examination of the menu, the choices looked more like a fancy uptown restaurant than a small town diner.
With all that said, we were very impressed with the staff and the food and would definitely eat here again when passing through town.
