Had a great business lunch. My guest was astounded by how good his meal was for the price. He ordered a salad with two crab cakes. He is from NYC so don’t go raising your prices for us local folks. My Linden with chicken salad was fantastic.

The Buffalo Chicken sandwich today was excellent. I highly recommend this.

My clients picked this spot for lunch and called in the order. When they called the lady didn’t even want to really take the order because it was for 6 people, which is really not a lot. They ended up taking the order and for myself I got the tuna on rye. When I arrived to pick up the order I parked on the street nearby. I walked into a cute restaurant. I walked to the register and there was only one other person in front of me. When I got to the front the food was packed on the side on the floor ‍♀️. She noticed she didn’t have soups and took a long time to get the soup and when she returned she had to take a lady that was waiting payment and that took a while. They just moved very slow there. I finally paid and left. When I did eat my sandwich it actually wasn’t bad. The experience itself wasn’t great but the sandwich wasn’t bad.

Great sandwich spot. It’s right on my way home from my work at tigon golf carts. If I want a sandwich for dinner I normally get it from here. Great food great staff.

P.J. Scanlon’s is a very nice place to grab a decent lunch. The servers are very friendly, and the dining area is surrounded by large windows, making the natural light coming through very appealing. It was a gorgeous, sunny day when I visited for lunch at approximately 12:45, making the establishment all the more inviting. The weather also provided a perfect day to eat on their patios, with plenty of tables available.

P.J. Scanlon’s have a variety of soups, gourmet salads, and sandwiches to choose from. The chicken salad sandwich on a hard roll was delicious, accompanied by a pickle and potato chips. The roll and chicken salad was fresh and tasty.

The service was also fast during this time, which makes it easier if you’re in a bit of a rush. Give this place a try if you’re looking for a satisfying lunch.

Maybe I’m just a cynic. Maybe I’m an elitist food snob with a burning hatred for this place (both possible). What I do know is this: PJ Scanlan’s does something to my guts I cannot explain.

Olestra flashbacks? Some sinister substitute? Is it designed to keep their mostly elderly clientele regular (pun unintended)? I wanted to write a cheeky review, but that “burning hatred” I mentioned? It’s literal. I’m typing this mid-exorcism, fuming with rectal rage upon the porcelain throne, questioning why I once again gave this place a chance.

As for the food? Think one tier up from diner and stop there. The service? Equally uninspiring. The woman who takes phone orders sounds perpetually miserable, though, to be fair, maybe she needs this gig more than I need edible food.

Long story short: I don’t get the hype. Save yourself the gastrointestinal distress. Unless, of course, you’re in the market for a cheap colonic.

Loved lunch – beautiful fresh salad w/blueberries & strawberries–big menu w/specials every day – very reasonable prices.

Had an enjoyable lunch here. In the summer it’s very nice to sit out front on the porch – just don’t choose a windy day or your food will get hit with soot from the street. Food is well prepared and sandwiches don’t skimp on ingredients. Staff is pretty friendly, too.

Have eaten there for years. Food has always been tops. Like moms home cooking. Love the open faced turkey with gravy. Delicious.
