I’ve never had a classic pizza of higher quality than Pizzeria Lucci. The dough is so thin and crisp it could give you a paper cut, with five slices here about equal to two standard ones. The undercarriage is flawless, making for the cleanest eat I’ve had, yet it still delivers rich, top quality ingredients. Every element works in harmony: the light char, subtle fluff, fresh cheese, and vibrant sauce all showcase elite craftsmanship. You can tell the chef has the whole process down to a science. I’m rating it an 8.5, the second-best pizza I’ve had on the Jersey Shore, just behind Sea Bright Pizzeria. The only thing holding it back from the high 8s is that while the quality is maxed out, it lacks that extra spark/ the exotic kick or burst of flavor that sets the very best pies apart.

This place has some seriously good pizza. The dough, sauce, cheese are all top notch. They put really good olive oil on there… its awesome! Try ordering a pizza with garlic on it, they will give you a bunch of really thin slices of garlic that are absolutely perfect. IDK how they make them, but I like to picture that they use a razorblade like they do in goodfellas. The pasta is seriously good as well, and the ricotta cheese is one of the best things I have ever eaten.
This place is awesome, you won’t be dissapointed.

This pizza is phenomenal. I’m not sure if they use sourdough or a high quality flour from Italy, but I ate an entire pie and didn’t feel heavy at all. When I had pizza in Europe, it felt just like this. The cheese adds real character and depth, by “depth” I mean the kind you find in properly stored, aged wine, where every sip feels like a small poem. The sauce perfectly balances the cheese and the flavor of the dough, while the char delivers that crisp kick. This will definitely be a stop for me whenever I’m in the area. Bravo all around!

I’m extremely picky when it comes to pizza. There aren’t many places that impress me. This is one that does–definitely one of the best pizzerias in the state, if not *the* best. Small menu, but everything is terrific, especially the salads, the homemade bread, meatballs, and the “plain” pie. They even add fresh basil and freshly grated Parmesan to the pizza before serving. Crust is perfection. Eat there. Don’t ruin this perfection by putting it in a box. Great vibe, fantastic staff.

I happened to arrive at the establishment precisely as it swung its doors open for the day—perfectly on schedule. From the moment I stepped inside, we were warmly welcomed by some of the friendliest and most inviting smiles imaginable. The staff then provided us with a concise explanation of how to navigate the ordering process. I must admit, choosing just one item felt like quite the challenge due to the enticing menu options available. Ultimately, I settled on a portion of their scrumptious meatballs along with a large Pepperoni pizza. Wow! Wow!! WOW!! This experience is undoubtedly deserving of a solid ten out of ten; I would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone.

I can’t say enough good things about the food here. From the New Haven style pizza to the salad, meatballs and spicy penne vodka… we’ve tried it all! The bread is a bonus for take home if it actually makes it all the way home. Lol. We have gone several times now because winter is just easier. I would recommend going upon opening and during the week for lunch. I find those times easier to get a table. We have also gotten a table for two on Friday and Saturday night with no wait, but you have to get there early. Tuesday through Thursday you can get square pies and square slices for lunch. They do close for an afternoon reset. They are also closed Sunday and Monday. Navigating the hours became our biggest challenge, but once Adam explained how the place works, as far as seating yourself for lunch and waitress service at night plus the square pie, round pie offerings, It became more manageable. I gave all the details, because you will be back and you will crave this menu. Obviously the pizza is the star of the show, but there are other things we love too. Ps, order the salad.

Finally got to visit Mike Gaullci’s new restaurant, one of the cofounders of my favorite pizza Rosie’s and they did not disappoint! The pizza did take about 45 min as I think they messed up my order but they apologied for the wait, but it wasn’t a big deal to me. The place spotless inside with a nice touch of top quality imported Italian goods which are favorites of the chef.
I went simple with the basic round pie and It was perfectly prepared, with top notch ingredients. The fresh basil and grated cheese at the end is an excellent touch. The sourdough crust was delicious, thin and crispy.
As I sat waiting for my pie, I saw some huge incredible looking salads and sandwiches coming about and am already planning my next visit to try the rest of the menu. Highly recommend Pizzeria Lucci!

Friendly staff, bright and comfortable dining area. Meatballs were moist and delicious in a tasty red sauce, ricotta was good with just the right amount of EVOO. Enjoyed both the ‘Lucci Spinach pizza as well as the regular cheese pie.

Overhyped. Barely any taste. Picked up a pie for takeout. 45min wait pretty long, but heard lots of good reviews from other locals regarding this spot, so don’t mind a wait if worth it. Sadly my girlfriend and I were let down. Didn’t ask for it well done, but crust was way too hard. No taste to the crust. Cardboard. Barely any sauce. Overall dry and not much flavor. Nice guys working in there and clean spot, but pizza is about pizza. Maybe it was an off pie, but not worth the money to try again.
