Pizzeria El Jefe is too legit! Came here were my friend last night and they were playing Soda Stereo and Caifanes over the speaker system. The places in spacious, clean, and comfortable. We ordered and took a booth.
Our order was a 1/2 Plumas + 1/2 La Vaca Flaca pizza, a Mexican salad, and Cajeta balls. Plumas is Mexican pollo asado, tomato, avocado, thinly sliced red onion, cilantro and poblana sauce. La Vaca Flaca is Mexican birria, topped with diced onion, fresh radish and cilantro.
Both pizza styles were incredibly good! The birria was great with the consommé and red salsa. The Plumas was my friend’s favorite. It was a bit lighter, but avocado and poblano sauce on pizza? It was genius. The salad was decent, and the Cajeta balls were a nice dessert, though I think they’re probably better eaten hot + fresh.
Overall, the flavors, the quality, the presentation, and the service were all top notch. We had a great time. I highly recommend Pizzeria El Jefe!

Pizzeria El Jefe serves some seriously unique and delicious Mexican-style pizzas. The corn pizza was a standout, packed with flavor and unlike anything you’ll find at a typical pizza spot. Food was excellent, service was solid, and the atmosphere was relaxed and fun. A great place if you’re looking to try something different and really tasty.

First time trying Mexican-style pizza and it did not disappoint me. I told the young gentleman who was taking the order that I was not familiar with their menu, and he patiently with so much passion went over the whole menu and helped me to choose one. The crust was delicious, with a perfect amount of red sauce and a generous amount of toppings. It even tasted better the day after. From now on it’ll be my go-to pizza place in Chula Vista.

This was a fully different take on pizza. Great new flavors and fresh. I got half a chicken mango and then pork carnitas on the other side. I shall be going back again soon. Inside was very clean and plenty of space.

People, Pizzeria El Jefe has taken pizza to a hole other level. We ordered a half buffalo, half carne asada pizza and it blew my mind. The crust is perfect, the toppings, delicious. Also the hot wings are sooo goood.. I will definitely go back to try other pizzas with diferent toppings. The service is super friendly and exelente, definitely 10/10. I strongly recommend u give Pizzeria El Jefe a try. Thank you & see you soon.

This is a new take on pizza, The location is very clean the menus are updated and easy to read The parking in the back is manageable. The only things I didn’t care for was their sodas they only give you one free refill. Also their prices One large pizza was about $40 I understand that because of the type of pizza we got the toppings are a little pricey because we got seafood but it would be good if they could bring the price down. All in all it was really enjoyable pizza and hopefully their business thrives.

Delicious! Mexican pizzas with Great flavors! We ordered the El Jefe special- large pizza, 6 bread balls, and 6 wings (we got the Chipotle mango) They let us do a half and half pizza – surf & Turf and Birria. So yummy! 100% recommend this place– we will be back!

The staff was very friendly the atmosphere was wonderful they were playing a good mix of music I really enjoyed, overall the atmosphere was festive and exciting but not overwhelming. The food was totally unexpected. I had a 12″ La Verdulera Pizza that I added chicken to. It was delicious!! The crust was wonderful (I like that type of crust). The ingredients are very fresh and very flavorful. I will definitely be back when I’m in the area.
