Decided to finally try Pizzeria Bello Forno after wanting to for a while. I’d had it once before at a company event, but the pizza was cold—and unfortunately, that experience didn’t improve much this time.
We were seated outside, and even with heaters, our table was directly facing the wind. Once the sun went down, it was extremely cold. If you’re dining here in the evening, make sure you’re dressed for winter unless you’re seated inside. Because of the cold, we ended up changing our order to to-go.
To actually enjoy the food (and out of curiosity), we took the pizza to Patricio’s Pizza and also ordered a pizza there to compare.
Patricio’s honestly saved the night—their pizza was better overall and the environment was much more comfortable.
As for Bello Forno, one pizza feeds about three people max. The pizza itself was underwhelming, and the overall experience felt unwelcoming, which made it even less enjoyable. I may give it another try in the future and check out the sliders or pasta, but based on this visit, the experience was subpar.
Hopefully a better experience next time.

What a find! Best. Pizza. Ever. Couldn’t decide between Mortadella Pistachio and Tart Cherry Sausage so very friendly server suggested half-and-half… Even though it’s a 90-minute drive, I’m coming back with my foodie BFF. Can’t wait!

This place was beautiful and so delicious. So good it makes me want to change my old ratings of other pizza places. Their signature soup is delicious, their pizzas are a great crust with higher end toppings. Personal size is plenty for one person. Soup and salad combo is also a great choice for a lighter meal. We sat outside and loved it. Very nice ambiance.

Had a pizza here. Unfortunately, it didn’t really taste like an authentic pizza: The cheese didn’t taste like mozzarella, more like a generic blend, and the dough was really chewy and lacked flavor. Way overpriced for the quality

Been here several times and it’s always great. Tried the tenderloin sliders for the first time and those are now one of my favorite appetizers I’ve ever had anywhere. Also tried the “Where’s the Beef?” pizza and loved the taste of the beef pepperoni

Amazing pizza, fabulous atmosphere, great service, love it! Highly suggest you try it, they have so many different artisan pizzas, we got the meat lovers basically and it was bomb! Fresh ingredients and the pizza stone oven were icing on the cake! Five stars all the way! Veda!

Great pizza and service. Very different kinds of pizza that work well. A must try when in the orcutt area. This place just gets better everytime I go. Chicken Picatta! Off the hook. Very good. All pastas are excellent. Also get the meatballs in the vodka sauce.
Just had the vodka sauce with peppers and sausage, really good. Also you can get any pizza, pasta style. Try it, take all ingredients from the pizza and pair with a pasta. Of course no pizza dough. Awesome. Such a great place to eat and hangout. They have cool things coming.
So tonight I had the New Yorker and the Hot Honey. The pizza amazes me all the time. I had a chance to talk to the pizza makers and one guy had been there since they opened. The conversation with these guys makes the food taste so much better.
If you get a chance to talk to the people making your food, it makes the experience really fun.
I dont want to get a table and not be able to be a part of the cooking process. My advice is talk to people, have a good time. I’d your on the fly and never been here, open up and taste what you can. Such good food.
I just had the steak sliders and OMG they are good. This slider is a must try, very tender and not like a tritip sandwich. This melted in your mouth. A very good sandwich.
They also have a new soppressata pizza which I didnt try but next time. Get into Bello Forno it’s a must, great atmosphere, great people and staff. Good things are coming so stay tuned.
