As someone who’s lived all over the U.S and world, including Chciago and New York, I was really excited to try this pizza. But the Detroit-style pizza is one of the worst pizzas I’ve ever had and is NOTHING like real Detroit-style pizza. It basically tastes like plastic cheese on focaccia bread. Neither the quality of ingredients or cooking style are authentic Detroit-style, it’s basically inedible:/ It’s also super overpriced.

The dough is incredibly light and airy, the pelato sauce tastes like something straight from a real New York slice shop, and the pepperoni sausages are honestly some of the best I’ve had here. Ordered the ‘Route 66’ from Street 42 since Glovo claims it’s a hit. Big mistake. This is easily one of the worst pizzas in Belgrade. I am absolutely shocked by how bad the dough is — it’s completely floppy, doesn’t hold the toppings at all, and genuinely tastes terrible. The crusts are basically inedible, I just threw them away. Messing up dough in Serbia takes some real negative talent. Plus, the whole thing is way too salty. Just avoid it.

“Pizzeria 42nd Street is a little slice of America right here in Belgrade! The staff is incredibly friendly, patient, and fun — you feel like you’re visiting friends, not just a restaurant. The Chicago-style All Meats pizza is a total flavor bomb, and the Detroit-style pies… honestly, even better than some I’ve had in the U.S. (don’t tell anyone over there). Highly recommended!”

To night we could not be bothered finding a restaurant, but both wanted pizza we could have in our apartment, this was the closest, and so gal we made the decision to go here the staff we very nice , and the pizza’s freshly cooked while we waited only 10 mins and they were very busy

My husband ordered pizza via Wolt, but after waiting over 40 minutes, the order was suddenly cancelled due to technical issues. It was quite frustrating—but we decided to try again and placed the same order through Glovo. Not only did we receive our pizzas, but they also included a free one along with a handwritten note.
It was such a kind and thoughtful gesture! The pizzas were fresh, incredibly tasty, and truly lifted our spirits (or rather, made our night!).

It may be the best American pizza in Belgrade, but it doesn’t compare to the Neapolitan pizza that is so prevalent in the city. It looks as if the pizza was made by children for their parents. Very natural, but not at all edible. The only good thing about it is that it has an adequate amount of salt. The rest is an endless failure. Let’s start listing: soggy dough, tasteless cherries, tough onions, pizza slices not cut all the way through. The second course was the fries. Clearly the oil for frying it had been changed for a long time, so the taste of bitterness permeates instantly.
