I’ve been to the DTLA Arts District location so many times, so I was shocked (in the best way) to discover this one so close to home. The space is modern, clean, and has a cool vibe — though I still lean toward the unique Arts District atmosphere. What really stands out is the pizza: same incredible quality as DTLA. Blindfold me and I wouldn’t be able to tell the difference.

The only thing to keep in mind is that pizza by the slice can add up — if you’re thinking of grabbing more than two, a fresh pie might be the smarter move. Either way, I’m thrilled to have another amazing spot nearby!

You know I’ve been coming to pizzanista DTLA since it was first opened. I love pizzanista. Even back at long beach location. But today was a sad day at San Marino location. My large pepperoni pizza super thin floppy. Best part still taste amazing lots of pepperoni. Then my 2 gf pizzas flavor great no allergy issues. But what the heck. It was floppy and the new cheese horrible. I get you maybe concerned with the nut allergy so not miyokos cheese. So should bring back the Diaya you guys first had. Again love great. Still coming back.

I probably had Pizzanista three times a week during 2018 at their DTLA location and just found this location tucked away in San Marino. It was packed! Their vegan pepperoni was as great as I remember, I love their Jesus meets seitan, and occasionally enjoy their Mac n cheese pizza (it’s waaaaaay too heavy to eat more than one + only available on Sundays). This location had a large merch section that I wish was smaller so more seating would be accommodated inside. Soft serve machine was a bit runny but also not vegan so didn’t have that. Garlic knots are great and looking forward to trying their Sicilian slices they didn’t have when I would go often.

Happy Munchies,

Stopped by for a quick slice. Friendly service, great atmosphere and the slice was great. I got the veggie and I was pleasantly surprised that they used Kalamata olives.
The value was great as the one slice was really large enough to be considered two smaller pieces.

It’s Friday, I’m driving through South Pasadena, kinda hungry, saw a pizza by the slice place and decided to stop. Glad I did! Crispy, just the right thickness, quality ingredients, I got the veggie and it had a bunch of basil and I loved it! Thanks for being open for a quick bite!

I’ve been a diehard loyalist to the Arts District Pizzanista, and it’s still so odd to me that they opened one in sleepy San Marino, but no complaints from me! The slices are the same taste and quality as their AD counterpart, and the vibe is as chill as the area that it’s in. It’s a must for a casual lunch if you’re in the area.

Great addition to the mission district area. Lots of great pizza to choose from. Even gluten free & vegan pizza. Since it was my first time I got 3 different slices of pizza. You can also order by the pie. Definitely coming back to try more pizzas.

Tried a slice of this new pizza place and really liked the food. Solid takeout to add to your rotation of favorites. Pizza came fast and tasted very fresh. Got a slice of margherita. Well cooked with great flavor and red sauce. Each slide is big and flat, New York style with a thin and crispy crust. Reminds me of Joe’s Pizza on Broadway. And at $5 too it’s not bad for a filling meal. Would definitely recommend!

The best pizzas in San Marino and Pasadena area! Thin crust, fresh tomato sauce, fresh and quality ingredients. Worth spending a bit more for it. A joy!

The closest to NY style pizza you can get in LA.
Delicious, crispy, large slice
1st visit Margherita & Pepperoni pizza
2nd visit Margherita & Soppresatta pizza Got hooked up w/ extra slice, cuz they felt that the slice was too small. Awesome place.
