Since Pizzana’s Los Angeles debut in April 2017, the restaurant from partners Candace & Charles Nelson has garnered critical and national acclaim for Master Pizzaiolo Daniele Uditi’s inspired take on the Naples staple. In addition to Michelin Bib Gourmand accolades, Pizzana was recently recognized as one of the top pizzerias in the world by international guide, 50 Top Pizza. Uditi also appears as a lead judge on Hulu’s Best in Dough pizza competition series. Our signature slow dough is crafted in the Neapolitan tradition then fermented and proofed for two days. We use stone ground flour and San Marzano tomatoes that are grown exclusively for Pizzana in the Naples countryside. Our mozzarella, or fior di latte, is shipped fresh from Italy.

I had an absolutely fantastic meal at Pizzana in Sherman Oaks — this place is a must-visit for pizza lovers. The pizzas here are truly exceptional, and the vodka sauce pizza in particular blew me away — rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced with bright tomato and a subtle kick that pairs unbelievably well with their crust. The crust itself is exactly what you want from a Neapolitan-style pizza — crisp at the edges, just the right amount of chew in the center, and with a satisfying krispy finish that holds up slice after slice.
The dining space is minimal and comfortable, but honestly, the food is the real star here. Every pizza we tried had thoughtful toppings and fresh ingredients, and the care in execution shows in every bite. Many reviewers online call Pizzana’s pies some of the best in the neighborhood — and after eating here, I totally agree.
And don’t skip dessert — the olive oil chocolate cake with vanilla bean gelato might be one of the best sweet finishes I’ve had in a long time. The cake is lush and moist, with just the right depth of chocolate flavor, and the gelato adds a creamy, cool contrast that rounds out the meal beautifully.
Service was attentive and the vibe relaxed, making this a great spot for a casual dinner or a special pizza night with friends. Highly recommend it if you’re looking for well-crafted, creative pizza in Sherman Oaks
The Insider Tip: The Cacio Club
Before you even look at the menu, do yourself a favor and look into the Cacio Club. It is hands-down one of the best loyalty programs in the city. Membership earns you a free pizza every month, but the real draw for the social crowd is the access to deeply discounted drinks. We’re talking high-quality Aperol Spritzes and Margaritas that make a casual weeknight dinner feel like a steal.
What to Order
The menu is consistent, but a few standout “family favorites” truly define the experience:
* To Start: The crispy artichoke salad provides a perfect textural contrast, while their Caesar salad is bright, punchy, and elevated. Don’t skip the charred broccolini if you want something smoky to balance the richness of the cheese.
* The Mains: You can’t go wrong with the classics. Their Margherita features a crust that is light, airy, and expertly charred. For something more robust, the mushroom pizza offers incredible earthy depth. If you’re in the mood for something silkier, their pasta dishes are equally refined.
* The Sweet Finish: You absolutely have to save room for dessert. The tiramisu is light and traditional, the gelato is exceptionally smooth, and the olive oil chocolate cake is a sophisticated, decadent must-try for any chocolate lover.
Whether you’re there for a quick drink or a full family spread, Pizzana delivers on flavor every single time.
The salads are fresh, bright, and genuinely delicious, and the cauliflower might be one of my absolute favorite things on their entire menu. Every visit feels like a treat. Highly, highly recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We’re going to make this a monthly thing for as long as they make them. Of course , we couldn’t leave without a Torta Al Limone for my partner and it looked amazing as well.
I actually prefer ultra thin crust pizza, and I particularly liked the way their pizza looked and tasted. There was an appropriate amount of char on the crust and on the undercarriage. All ingredients on the pizza, including the crust, worked together and no one ingredient overpowered the other.
I was well satisfied with our waiter, the food, and the service, and it would be worth going back there again.
