Social Profile:

Since Pizzana’s Los Angeles debut in April 2017, the restaurant from partners Candace & Charles Nelson has garnered critical and national acclaim for Master Pizzaiolo Daniele Uditi’s inspired take on the Naples staple. In addition to Michelin Bib Gourmand accolades, Pizzana was recently recognized as one of the top pizzerias in the world by international guide, 50 Top Pizza. Uditi also appears as a lead judge on Hulu’s Best in Dough pizza competition series. Our signature slow dough is crafted in the Neapolitan tradition then fermented and proofed for two days. We use stone ground flour and San Marzano tomatoes that are grown exclusively for Pizzana in the Naples countryside. Our mozzarella, or fior di latte, is shipped fresh from Italy.

The dough at Pizzana was pretty phenomenal — light, chewy, and perfectly blistered. Our favorite pie of the night was the classic Margherita, simple and clean in the best way. The kale Caesar was also a highlight, though I wouldn’t have minded just a touch more dressing (and I’m usually the opposite!).

Our least favorite was actually a recommendation from our server — the Diavola, I think? Something was definitely off; not just a flavor preference, but truly a little funky. Our waiter graciously removed it from the bill, which we really appreciated.

The dining room could use a bit more softness or warmth to make it feel cozier, but maybe that’s just not the vibe they’re aiming for. Overall, we enjoyed it and I’d absolutely go back — especially for that Margherita.

The place overall is a 7.5/10, it has nice vibes and the staff are nice and attentive. The food is good overall, I would not classify it as over the top/extremely satisfying in taste and/or abundant in portion when equating it to price. For example, the Cacio is $27 for a pie, for that much I believe it could either be served slightly larger or receive a price reduction to $18-20 (more realistically). Nevertheless, I enjoyed the flavors of it overall. In addition, I ordered the bolognese and it tasted pretty standard. It just needed 2-3 more seasonings (which I added to my leftovers) to make it really flavorful and standout. I would go here again in the far future if someone else mentioned going but I would not necessarily return on my own request.

Listen… I looove a good thin crust pizza but Pizanna’s crust was so thin that the center was very soggy, causing the pizza slices to cave in at the tip. The tomato sauce, pepperoni, and cheese tasted great but there isn’t enough structural integrity to support them all. However, I ended up reheating the pizza/crust at home, and when properly crisped, the pizza tastes great. Pizza is on the smaller side.

Overall, I decided to rate the pizza overall 4 stars since I did get to-go, which may have impacted the texture.

My friend and I visited on yesterday. Just fantastic. The manager recommended his favorites and his favorites did not disappoint. The Pignatiello pizza was delicious. The Torta al Limone for dessert. Service was top notch. Atmosphere is a cozy place and my friend and I did not have reservations. We were seated at the bar and that turned out to be the best thing. We will be definitely returning.

The place itself is very aesthetic and nice; The small ambiance was welcoming and inviting, and so were the waiters and waitresses. They offered suggestions on what to order, and provided us with warm smiles. The food was good for what it was; A little more on the expensive side, but it is in downtown Dallas, so I would have expected it to be. I ordered the brisket pizza, meatballs with garlic bread, and Caesar salad. Both the salad and meatball dishes were delicious. However, the pizza didn’t taste like anything renowned. The creamy, topped cheese overpowered the pizza itself, and for it being a brisket pizza, I could hardly taste the brisket or the sauce. (If I were to do anything differently, it would be to exchange the topped cheese for Gouda and add a drizzle of BBQ sauce on top.) Props to the chefs and waiters/waitresses though. They make the place all the more satisfying and enjoyable. Overall, tasty appetizers, decent pizza, aesthetically pleasing place, and good service. 6/10.

A friend who’s a foodie recommended Pizzana to me and earlier today was my initial visit with two other friends.

Upon entry, the restaurant was rather dim as previously mentioned via other Google Reviews.

All of us ordered the Margarita Pizza, which all three of us enjoyed, especially since it’s thin crust and half off during happy hour.

However, the server named Xavier could’ve EMBODIED a lot more professionalism, especially since it was our first time and he was way too nonchalant.

Unfortunately, parking is rather difficult and instead of paying for the nearby valet, I’d strongly recommend arriving early to park in the garage.

Other than that, Pizzana is either more of a “date place” or a casual hangout amongst fellow friends.

A wonderful dinner experience. We showed up a bit earlier than our reservation and were greeted and seated promptly. We were able to have a good conversation (not loud) while we enjoyed the cauliflower appetizer which was one of the best we have had (the aoili was superb). We ordered the Cacio Pepe pizza and the Vodka pasta – both were tasty. The cheese on the pizza was fresh and the Calabrian chili added just the right kick to the vodka pasta. We will visit this restaurant again.

Took forever to get acknowledged here, and your employee with the septum piercing damn near bumped into me without saying excuse me. After 3-5 minutes of waiting , someone finally took care of me. Your hostess was quick to acknowledge other people right after me, even though the restaurant was not that busy . Anyways shout out to the gentleman with long hair and glasses who noticed I was not getting seated and took action . Scarlet was my waitress? She was a sweet girl, but the pizza was not good. It was kind of burnt and the flavor was mediocre . Such a bummer experience I was excited to try this place out.

I love that Pizzana has so many gluten-free options and you would never know they are GF. They always ask if it’s an allergy or preference. One of my favorite places in the metroplex using fresh quality ingredients!!!

My husband and I visited Pizzana for the very first time today, and while the restaurant itself has a warm and welcoming atmosphere, it was our server, Sean, who made the entire experience unforgettable. We recently moved here from California, so every restaurant we try is a first-time experience for us — and Sean set the bar incredibly high.

From the moment we sat down, he ensured that we were taken care of with a level of attentiveness and professionalism that is genuinely rare to find. Sean knows the menu inside and out — from cocktails to entrées — and every recommendation he made was spot on. We trusted his guidance completely, and he did not let us down.

Despite the restaurant being quite busy, he never missed a beat. He checked on us consistently without ever being intrusive, anticipated our needs before we even voiced them, and made our date night feel truly special.

We usually aren’t the type to leave reviews, but this one felt absolutely well-deserved. While the entire staff was kind, Sean is absolutely an asset to Pizzana. His knowledge, energy, and impeccable service transformed our first visit into one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in a long time. He is the kind of server who makes you look forward to returning — and we definitely will be back because of him.

Highly recommend asking for Sean. He is a rockstar
