What a pleasant surprise. I really enjoyed my pizza at Pizzaissimo. When it comes to pizza, I compartmentalize the different styles, judge accordingly, and decide whether it’s good or not. This pizza is good! For me, this pizza is a cross between a New York slice and a wood-fired oven pizza, but baked in a traditional pizza oven. The dough was solid, the sauce had a very good tang and profile. The cheese seems to be quality Grande mozzarella. I had a small plain cheese since they don’t sell slices. The bake was solid and crispy. If I would offer up one piece of constructive criticism, I would back the cheese coverage down about 15%. Since I had the 8-inch pizza, maybe it would be a different if ordered a large pie? I will DEFINITELY be back to Pizzaissimo when I am in the area. I RECOMMEND this spot. I am certain this is the best pie in Brandon and certainly is a player on my recommended Tampa Bay area pizza list.

Without a doubt, my favorite pizza spot in Tampa has to be this place. The pizza is absolutely phenomenal, boasting an incredible array of flavors that never fail to impress. It’s always served fresh from the oven, hot and ready to enjoy, making each visit a treat. I often find myself traveling just for the pizza because it’s simply that good. The prices and specials are absolutely unbeatable! Their incredible rewards system adds an exciting twist to the experience!
What truly enhances the experience is the warm atmosphere created by the owner and the staff. They are not only friendly and welcoming but also incredibly helpful and genuine in their interactions. It’s clear that they take pride in their work and care about their customers. Overall, I would rate this place a solid 10 out of 10!

Walking in, we were greeted with amazing customer service and it lasted the entire stay. The food was amazing, my kids were doing their food dance. Great atmosphere. Very clean!

This pizza is INSANELY good! This is definitely my new go to!! I ordered a classic pepperoni, cheese, and a Fancy New Yorker. Super thin but the Crust was perfectly crispy. The staff was also very kind. Restaurant is very family friendly which we love! Was extremely clean and their seats are sooo comfy! All around a LITERAAAAL 5 star pizza! Just straight yumm!!

This was our first time trying this pizza resturant. We have walked past it so many times on the way to Publix and never stopped. I wanted pizza but was tired of Cappys, Marcos and Mellow Mushroom so my husband said let’s try the place next to Publix. Im so happy we did! The crust on the pizza was so crisp and well done. The options for the pizzas are great. Can’t wait to go back and try a different kind!!!

Amazing spot! Fresh dough made right in front of us and the pizza tasted just like authentic New York style. Great lunch specials too. The atmosphere gave me total 90s/early 2000s local pizza shop vibes—felt like being back after school. Took my son here before an appointment he was nervous about and it completely set the tone for a great day. We’ll definitely be back!

Good customer service and amazing food! I work in the plaza so I eat here fairly often and a lot of my co workers/ employees do as well. We love it here! Prices aren’t bad either for the quality of pizza. This is legit real pizza.

Take it from a NJ transplant from 1987 who never looked back, except for the pizza. . This place will satisfy that craving for ‘up North / NY style/taste/crisp foldable crust/hot stretchy cheese’ pizza.
Choices of toppings in personal and large size pies can satisfy most folks and other offerings like calzones, cheese sticks, garlic knots, etc can satisfy the rest. Mind the sign on the door – “No Slices” -. This isn’t a ‘small Italian spot’ that has salads or gelati … it’s ‘delicious, hot pizza’ made to order when you order… literally, ready within 20 minutes… the folks working there are very friendly and proud of their food, and deservedly so.
I ordered cheese sticks, Margherita, and The Works in personal pie sizes. Cheese sticks were so good that I almost got too full to eat the rest.. But a full belly and a burnt roof of my mouth later reminded me of those satisfying pizza eating times from back up North.
So if you miss those times, try Pizzaissimo.. if you want a taste of excellent ‘up North / NY style/taste/crisp foldable crust/hot stretchy cheese’ pizza, try Pizzaissimo.
And yes fellow transplants, there are red pepper flake, garlic salt, and grated parmesan shakers on each table.. .
Update – I did go back after I called and ordered ‘to go’ and it was ready when promised, made as I requested and delicious! Ordered the Meat Lovers this time. Yup, this is going to be my #1 spot now!
Update update.. I’ve been here a few times since the previous update but haven’t posted.
Here again on this rainy night and enjoyed a 12″ Meat Lovers, cooked to crisp up the pepperoni – the man is a pizza artist!
