Haven’t been to a pizza express for years that came here as we had some vouchers to use. Nice quality food and good service. We did remark that the price seemed to have gone up significantly since last time.

I visited pizza express this late afternoon and revived such wonderful service! As soon as I entered I was greeted with a warm and welcoming smile! My waiters name was Joe and he was fantastic!! He created light and cheerful conversations making my experience feel even better! The food was incredible and I enjoyed every bite! I will definitely be coming back and recommending to all my friends!!

If we could tick all these boxes as a 10 we would. We were both so very impressed from the point of being greeted at the door to the attending waiter/waitress service throughout. The initial care from the male attendant was very welcoming . Magda was particularly excellent, watching and approaching at appropriate and timely intervals, we both felt her manner and approach was perfect. We watched the chefs at work who were smiling and happy. Honestly such an enjoyable meal from start to finish and good food as well. Excellent, will return.

I was really disappointed with my recent visit to Pizza Express. For the prices they charge, I expected a much better experience. The pizza itself wasn’t particularly hot when it arrived, it was also impossible to cut, was served on a plate with nothing but a blunt dining knife. The sides were tiny for what they cost, which made the whole meal feel poor value. Got about 10 chips!!) also.. no ketchup!!!

The atmosphere didn’t help either. The music was far too loud, making it hard to relax or even hold a conversation. On top of that, there didn’t seem to be enough staff around. The few who were working were clearly rushed off their feet, so the service ended up being slow and pretty rubbish overall.

Unfortunately, the combination of high prices, lukewarm food, small portions, and chaotic service means I wouldn’t go back or recommend.

I am on holiday in the UK (from Australia) and my son and I were just ending the day and looking for a bite to eat. Pizza Express looked inviting and I knew PE from previous visits to the one in Weybridge. We were not disappointed, the service was vey friendly and attentive, the food was very much not franchised-chain-like, much more like a bespoke restaurant. Excellent and highly rcommended.

I am rewriting this review after my latest visit to Pizza Express, St. Benedict’s Street, Norwich.

I’ve visited this place multiple times, but the service has consistently been disappointing. While the vegan pizza is great, the staff’s attitude is unacceptable. During my last visit, we were ignored for 20 minutes—no one even came to take our drink orders. Meanwhile, other customers who arrived after us were served immediately. This has happened on multiple occasions, and it’s frustrating and disheartening.

On a previous visit, I ordered vegan pasta, but they served it with prawn sauce and still charged me when I asked for a replacement. Many vegan options were also unavailable.

Overall, the food might be good, but the poor service and discriminatory behavior make it impossible to recommend. I won’t be returning.

Came in last night for dinner for my partners birthday and I must say what a welcoming we got from Joe and Ben and both remembered us from our last visit which was a great added touch we were served by Rachael who was great and very polite. Atmosphere was great with all staff smiling and laughing with customers! Made our evening with great food included too!
Thank you so much Pizza Express team we will be returning again soon!
P.s Burnt Ends pizza is to die for!

A night out there was nine of us and a table was booked for 18.45 pm.
We arrived and waited, to be told we were unable to seated due to staff sickness and their AI booking system. We were asked to if we could return in 30 minutes when a table maybe available.

30 mins later we were able to be seated, however service was slow and we only just had time to eat before the theatre.

Our waiter Jonah was great, took our order and ensured our food arrived, he also sorted our bill.

Its very difficult for staff at Pizza Express who have no control of their AI booking system which needs reviewing to look at over booking and when there is staff sickness.
Not a great system for this restaurant.

The staff are so helpful and do not deserve evenings of not happy customers.

Chose to come here over The Forum with friends last night because we thought it would be warmer – the restaurant was so cold I never took my coat off and my feet were frozen when we finally left 3 hours later. We asked the server if the heating was broken and they made comments about having to wear thermals.

Service was incredibly slow, 3 hours to get drinks, pizza and coffee seems a long time. Food when it arrived was good, but the wait between mains and taking our order for coffee/pudding was a good hour.

We all commented that prices have shot up, £17.49 for the new chicken salad, and £22 for a pizza. We did have a voucher, but watch out – you need to have one QR code per pair of people and there are a fair amount of exceptions and exclusions.

I only had the chicken salad and a cup of tea and I was still hungry when I got home, never a good sign!
