Really impressed with Pizza Underground! Was passing through on a road trip and upon ordering a margherita pizza, the owner was really excited about this specific pizza as he said it had several specific characteristics that he looked for, and it was a 1 out of 100 pizza! I loved the enthusiasm and attention to detail, and it was so fresh & delicious! Highly recommended.

This is a cute little place nestled in downtown Jeff City. They offer a good variety of homemade pizza and they have new flavors of cupcakes all the time! They do have adult beverages if your interested in that. It would be a good spot for most occasions. It’s accessible and the staff is phenomenal. You can really tell they put efforts into adding that special touch. They can also do take n bake or order to go which is nice! The appetizer cheesy bread is yummy- the only thing I’d do differently is to have warm marinara for dipping (it’s cold). We’ve thoroughly enjoyed both visits and plan to be back!

We had a weird experience here. We’ve heard good things about their pizza and stopped by around 6:45. Seating is limited and we were told there would be a 20-25 minute wait, so after briefly deliberating about whether to just head somewhere else instead of waiting, we got our names put on the list and went next door for a glass of wine. When we returned 15 minutes later, a table had turned over and another party had been seated ahead of us. This wouldn’t be a big deal, but the host (different than the first person we talked to) told us they were completely out of pizza dough and couldn’t serve us. I’m confused as to how they couldn’t have predicted this would happen only 15 minutes earlier. If they’d been open about the fact that they were about to sell out for the night, we would’ve just gone elsewhere instead of waiting around only to be skipped over then turned away. I don’t know if the pizza is as good as we’ve heard or not, but the customer service and communication definitely left something to be desired.

We were in Jefferson City for my daughter’s State track meet and decided to grab a pizza to take on the road home to Cape Girardeau. We chose the Margherita pizza, and it was phenomenal! Staff is super friendly and knowledgeable! We will definitely visit again when we are back in the area!

We discovered Pizza Underground a few months ago and it is now one of our favorite pizza restaurants. We live in Columbia and don’t mind the 30 min drive to Jefferson City for this pizza. The staff is very nice and it’s obvious the owner is passionate about his work. The pizzas remind me of what I’ve had in Italy. Not like most of the pizza options you find in Columbia/Jeff City. Highly recommend this restaurant!
