Was looking for a new pizza place to tryout. We ordered a large pastrami pizza and a pastrami sandwich with a pitcher of beer. The food had a good taste to it and the beer was cold. So if your looking for a quick pizza for lunch I’d give this place a try.

Nice small pizza place in a strip mall. Service is great. The decor is interesting. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Prices are great, and the cheese pizza I ordered was super tasty, with just the right amount of dough and cheese. Ready in about 12 minutes and it was very delicious and chewy right out of the oven. There has been change of ownership since last century when it first opened, but their proprietary recipes remain the same. Highly recommended pizza and sandwich shop in Downey.

Walked in, first time. Two people inside a guy and a woman. She welcomed us the guy saw us, said nothing. The woman took our order and she was super nice with a big smile. The food was awesome. Got two calzones, delicious.

AMAZING PIZZA.
The dough is cooked to absolute perfection! Not too greasy, not too crispy. The cheese is BUSSIN BUSSIN. Don’t skimp out and order the hot wings! The wing hot sauce is mad crazy good.
Food came out pretty quick too!
Lolita is lovely woman and very courteous! Pizza time definitely has a set of new customers, this pizza is ON THE MONEY. Great hit in my books, this place deserve way better reviews. Give it a try, you won’t regret it! I honestly feel bad this place has some negative reviews due to previous ownership, the new owners and the workers are so nice and friendly! Til next time pizza time :]

Ok, late post. Last weekend (01/17/21), we had Pizza Time for dinner. New owners (a super friendly family), same great food. They took it over a year ago. Ordered 2 Family meals. Comes with 2 topping large pizza, fried chicken & potato wedges or spaghetti & lasagna, salad, and bread sticks. A LOT OF FOOD.

The pizza is delicious, but the problem I have is that I’m never clear on how much I’m going to pay or how long I’ll wait. I always call over the phone to order and I ask for their specials or tell them I’ll be using a coupon. The prices on the coupons they mail home are different from what is inside the restaurant. The last time I picked up my pizzas he gave me a price and I presented the coupon and he said I didn’t need a coupon because the price was already set, but it wasn’t discounted. Even though I’m told over the phone it’ll be ready in 20 minutes I end up waiting 10-15 minutes there in the restaurant. The food is good but they need to give better approximate times and clarity on their pricing.

Whenever the family is craving pizza and wings, the first choice is Pizza Time. This gem has never let us down. The pizza is amazing, the wings are amazing, the wedges are amazing. I still need to try their other menu items.
They’re always very friendly on the phone, and their wait times are accurate. This is for sure the best local pizza spot. Get the manager’s special if you’re a first time taster, but don’t forget to add the wings (extra hot and lemon pepper) and wedges.
