Its not the employee’s fault. It’s 100 percent ownership/management. They’re closed on many days they’re supposed to be open. They don’t pay their staff nearly enough, that’s why they can’t open with a regular schedule. The food is real good. You will sit at a dirty table, but the food is good. The watermelon festival and car show was this past weekend, there was one employee for 2 hours by herself. She told me 30 mins on 2 large pizzas, it took 54 mins. When I got my order, several customers were getting refunds. Im glad I waited it out, it was good pizza. I still tipped the girl who took my order and told her, I feel for you, I know it’s not your fault. Poor ownership. Just shut it down and keep the Moonshine going mr Jackson.

Good food and decent prices. Last visit had pizza, sandwich, spaghetti and salad. All good, not the best ever but good food. Will eat here again when passing through. FYI they do not take cards.

We went for an early lunch. It looked closed from the outside because it’s so dark inside. We went up to the counter to place our order, not a huge selection, but enough, and it looks like a place that definitely needs updating. They had leaks from the ceiling, with clothes on the floor to keep the floor dry, it’s very dusty and kind of dreary inside in decor. We went for the food so I’ll give my thoughts on that. We ordered a medium meat lovers pizza w two fountain drinks. It was about $18 for the two of us. The wait for our meal wasn’t long but I tried not to look around much because the restaurant is not well kept in cleaning or repairs. It looks like they’re updating and expanding in the open space next door, so hopefully it will be a better appeal to go there. Our pizza came on a cardboard “tray” which seemed odd to me, but maybe that’s how it’s done in this part of Alabama. The pizza was a thinner crust than I usually like, but it had a very generous amount of meat and cheese. We did finish our lunch and probably will go back, simply for the pizza not the atmosphere.

We used to go to the Pizza Shack several years ago when it was under the original ownership, and the food was always wonderful. We had not been back for several years (we live in Oxford), so I was surprised to find when we visited recently that it was under new ownership. While we were skeptical about whether the food was the same as we had remembered. Our skepticism was quickly resolved when we got our food. Our pizzas came to the table piping hot and perfectly cooked. My husband and kids’ pepperoni and extra cheese on original crust was cooked to perfection. My thin crust bacon, onions, and bell pepper pizza was the best I have ever had from anywhere. The thin, crispy crust easily supported the toppings while still yielding that crunch. We will definitely be back much more often.

The food was GREAT, and the atmosphere reminded me of pizza parlors from back when sitting in a pizza place and enjoying a meal was an actual thing. There was also great live music which my wife and I enjoyed. The only negative about our visit was that even though there were no other eat-in customers in the place at the time we were in there, there were evidently many call-in orders. It took us 42 minutes to get our food from the time we arrived. However, the staff was friendly, and we will be giving the place another visit.

Google says open but they are actually closed on Mondays. Was trying to find food for my family to eat lunch but this was one of two places that doesn’t have correct info on their Google listing.

Don’t get a sub here if your expecting anything other than a super hard bun and no meat. Bread should be soft not hard as a rock and cutting your mouth as you chew.

A great small town prize. Nothing fancy, just good food made well. I started off with a BLT. It was good and the bread was toasted, just how I like it. I should have gotten the large. So I washed it down with a couple slices of a small ground beef, onion and green pepper pizza. It was a yummy as my sandwich. Don’t let the modest look from the outside keep you from coming inside. You will enjoy!
