My spouse and I arrived a little after 7:00 p.m. expecting to enjoy the buffet, as the restaurant was scheduled to close at 9:00 p.m. Upon arrival, there were very few pizza options available on the buffet. A manager did come out and informed us that if we did not see any options we liked, we could place an order for our preferred pizzas, which we appreciated. We placed an order for four slices of pizza. After waiting more than 15 minutes, the buzzer we were given never alerted us. I eventually went to check on the order and discovered that the pizzas we ordered had been placed directly on the buffet instead of being set aside for us or brought to our table. At the time, there were not many patrons in the restaurant, so this oversight was particularly frustrating.
We remained in the restaurant for over an hour, yet throughout that time there continued to be very limited food options available on the buffet. Despite paying the full buffet price, we were unable to enjoy the experience that price is meant to reflect. What added to the disappointment was that although the restaurant closed at 9:00 p.m., the buffet was shut down at 8:00 p.m., leaving even fewer options during what should have been sufficient time for us to dine. Additionally, we observed employees packing up remaining buffet items for themselves before the location had officially closed.
In my opinion, it is unacceptable to charge full price when the buffet is poorly stocked for a significant portion of operating hours. We left feeling disappointed and undervalued as customers.I wanted to bring this experience to your attention in hopes that it can be addressed and prevented for future guests. This was our first experience at Pizza Ranch and hope this location can improve its service and guest experience.
