My friends and I decided to try a local pizza place (instead of a chain) so we ordered from Pizza Pi through the 3rd-party delivery service with Toast. On mobile phones, the menu is poorly labeled and doesn’t clearly show that some items are small pizzas.
We spent over $55 expecting x2 regular sized pizzas, but received x2 pizzas equivalent to personal-size. When I called to ask if there was a mistake, he said there was not ending with: “you tipped $8, that’s why it was expensive,” before hanging up on me.
After looking into it further, we discovered that the default “Loaded Pi” pizza is a SMALL pizza priced at $22, with no clear indication of the size in the item title. We only wanted two toppings, so I went back through the checkout process to see what the correct option should have been: but there isn’t one. The menu only allows plain cheese, one topping, or paying for six toppings (loaded), with no option in between.
The properly labeled Small / Large pizzas are then buried several scrolls below the “Loaded Pi.” Making it easy to accidentally order the wrong size while on the mobile site.
Also when customizing your order, there’s no clear option / indication for changing to a larger size (if you mistakenly started with a small due to such bad UI). Having that option would have saved us a lot of headache!
Overall, this was a very frustrating experience due to unclear menu labeling and poor customer service. Unfortunately, it pushes us back to chain restaurants that clearly show what you’re ordering and don’t leave room for such levels of confusion and disappointment.
“A creamy cheesy delight, featuring a blend of Mozzarella, Dollops of ricotta a touch of robust Parmesan cheese topped with fresh basil sauteed onion and a hearty topping of sweet Italian sausage. A delicate drizzle of extra-virgin olive oil highlights the flavors.” FYI-last pic is from Yelp. that is not what our pizza looked like!
I counted the sausage…there were 6 or 7 small pieced! I would not call that “hearty”. It did not have “dollops” of ricotta, only a few basil leaves and it was very oily. I want the owner to respond and if they think their pizza is so good…give us a complimentary pizza on the house. I would never go there again…unless the owner wants us to give it another try. I have pics to post. Dry no topping pizza. It was not worth what they are asking us to pay! Still waiting for an owner response!
Check out the last picture…I think this was how our pizza was supposed to look…not even close!

Every Friday they have fresh bread loaves that are awesome. Something’s great about bread made the same day and this is perfect on the outside, soft in the middle and comes in unsliced loaves right from baking. Is you call in advance they’ll customize it for you but the regular bread is so good I’ve never tried anything else.
