The pizza was phenomenal – but the friendliness of the owner and others was top notch. The dough is what makes the pizza – and they’ve done their R&D! You have to get the Gorgonzola Sauce and sprinkle some onto your pizza! The key lime pie was amazing too. But if you’re in Douglas looking to scratch your pizza itch, this is the place to go!

Mambo Pizza is hands down the best pizza in town — honestly, the best I’ve ever had! The crust, the sauce, the toppings — everything is just perfect every time. The two owners are incredible people, and you can tell they genuinely care about their team and their customers. All the employees talk about how well they’re treated, which says a lot about the place. On top of that, the vibes are immaculate — great people, and a fun, welcoming atmosphere. Mambo Pizza has easily become my go-to spot! Plus great key lime pie!!

My wife and I were looking for an Italian restaurant when we saw Pizza Mambo online, so we thought we’d check it out. Turns out it’s basically a carryout, but it did have two tables inside and three round picnic tables out in the garden area. I ordered a small pizza, it was absolutely delicious, one of the best pizzas I’ve ever eaten. My wife ordered a Greek salad and she said it was the best greek salad she’s ever eaten. So the food is outstanding, the people friendly as they could be, but it’s just a small little takeout place with two tables inside. If this review was helpful, please give me a thumbs up.

Amazing pizza! So thrilled to have found this gem. We ate in and got the Rustico. The crust was perfect (we found out later that the owners make it from scratch daily) and the ingredients were fresh and flavorful, the sauce had a depth that was the perfect compliment. We travel several times a month to Europe for work and Pizza Mambo is as good as any pizza we’ve had in Milan. Had the Red Velvet cake for dessert and it was heavenly. Took some Key Lime Pie to go since I couldn’t resist the fact that it was homemade.
The staff really cares and takes pride in what they do. Ken and David, the owners, popped out of the kitchen to check on us. Great experience and we can’t wait to go back and enjoy another pizza.

Not only is the hospitality, the best I have experienced in quite some time, but the El Supremo Specialty Pizza was simply a masterpiece in taste and presentation. I recently stayed in the area for a week and this was worthy of a return visit. Dough, sauce, cheese and toppings were all high quality. It’s a small detail, but they set a new standard for me with marinara dipping cups; great sauce and a substantial portion. The Italian sausage had the homemade, heavy on fennel seed feeling that I’m looking for.

BEWARE COMING HERE THEY RUN OUT OF PIZZA. I’m from Indiana. I came 4 years ago and came here to try their pizza, we were turned around and told they were “out of pizza”. Today, I am back in Michigan wanting to try their pizza and was again told, they were out of pizza. 2/2 times I have tried to go here they were “out of pizza”. Seems odd. Not worth coming here. Very unprofessional. Never been to a pizza place that was out of pizza, especially two times.
Edit to reply to owners snarky comment: apparently when they accept catering orders they do not prepare ahead of time. I also patronized the busiest restaurants, even those on the water, in Saugutuck during its “busiest season” without waiting one minute. So it has more so to do with the lack of preparation from this restaurant. And apparently the entitlement from the owners.
